Gm lads - Did this month's Achilles in honor of my mom :) She died many years ago, when I was in my early 20's... You'd think I would have dedicated an Achilles to her earlier, since I've done like 55 of them so far lol... but tbh the prospect of trying to honor her life in some short little tweet seemed impossible... It still does actually... so instead I decided to just list a bunch of things she did for me that I am grateful for :) Here they are: - Taught me unconditional love - Taught me to be kind to other people and treat other people the way you'd like to be treated - Taught me to read and write and tie my shoes and literally everything else I knew as a kid - Believed in me and always told me I could accomplish anything I put my mind to in life - Inculcated a love of reading in me - Inculcated a love of film in me - Inculcated a love of music in me - Read me The Lord Of The Rings from the time I was a baby and instilled an undying love for it in me (honestly the best gift you can give a kid imho) - Introduced me to the animated Rankin-Bass versions of The Hobbit and LOTR as a kid - Brought me to the theater for all three of the Peter Jackson LOTR films and watched them with me - Brought me to the Oregon Coast (along with my dad) all the time as a kid - Brought me camping - Held my hand (along with my dad) when we walked across the river when I was 4, with the water up to my neck (utterly terrifying for me but also utterly thrilling- I still remember it now lol) - Took care of me over and over again when I had the flu or food poisoning as a kid - Sat next to me in the hospital for days on end when I had meningitis really bad - Played untold rounds of board games and card games with me - Forced me to take piano lessons (which I hated at the time but am in retrospect thankful for) - Forced me to do tons of work around the house and learn basic work ethic - Took care of our cats that I loved intensely - Packed my lunch for school every day and always wrote me a note with encouragement on it she'd put inside - Let me quit school in 5th grade when I started having horrible anxiety attacks - Let me go back to school in 7th grade when I still had anxiety but was girl crazy and couldn't stand not being in public school (the anxiety went away by HS thankfully) - Helped me with all my aquariums (I was a total nerd and had 13 of them as a kid at one point lol) - Supported all my other hobbies and obsessions - Brought me to Sweden and France and Costa Rica and Hawaii and all sorts of other cool places (along with my dad) - Videotaped all my football games in Jr High and High School - Let me go to Europe on my own for the summer when I was 15, and helped me figure out the itinerary and find people to stay with - Let me save up my money and do a massive road trip across the country on my own as well - Always let my friends come over and hang out and spend the night - Brought me to countless zoo's and museums and all sorts of other incredible places - Supported me through all my self-destructive vices and addictions and juvenile idiocy - Loved Lost (my favorite TV show of all time) and discussed every episode with me while we each watched it - Always encouraged me to write - Introduced me to countless incredible authors and films - Made me mixed berry protein + creatine shakes every day as a teenager :) - Fed me thousands upon thousands of incredibly delicious, incredibly healthy home-cooked meals, mostly all made from local foods (my mom was literally the best cook I've ever known) - Gave me a loving, supportive home to grow up in (hard to overestimate the value of this) - Always believed in me, no matter what mistakes or missteps I made along the way - Taught me to always be positive and optimistic, and to always find the bright side of everything in life I love you mom - you were the best mom anyone could ever have- and I cannot put into words how grateful I am for you... ... And yeah, as always... 'Achilles' workout was two miles of carrying two 70 lb dumbbells while wearing a 70 lb backpack, plus 70 weighted 70 lb pullups... Time was 3 hours and 16 minutes :) Appreciate you all my tremendously lads 💪🫡🤝 Please RT if you can 🙏

>gave everyone defi summer 2.0 >one of the biggest airdrops >birthplace of perp dexes as we know them today >only chain that proactively freezes hacked funds and does the right thing, instead of decentralisation theatre Thank you @arbitrum 💙
The Arbitrum Security Council has taken emergency action to freeze the 30,766 ETH being held in the address on Arbitrum One that is connected to the KelpDAO exploit. The Security Council acted with input from law enforcement as to the exploiter’s identity, and, at all times, weighed its commitment to the security and integrity of the Arbitrum community without impacting any Arbitrum users or applications. After significant technical diligence and deliberation, the Security Council identified and executed a technical approach to move funds to safety without affecting any other chain state or Arbitrum users. As of April 20 11:26pm ET the funds have been successfully transferred to an intermediary frozen wallet. They are no longer accessible to the address that originally held the funds, and can only be moved by further action by Arbitrum governance, which will be coordinated with relevant parties.

If you spent your entire salary on Claude/Cursor/Perplexity usage, would your company be better or worse off? This is the new benchmark to perform against. I am constantly thinking about how to create more value for every $1 i earn than if it was spent on AI.

Torching $730M+ in value in <1 month over a $10M revenue stream. If Apple’s website team skimmed a slice of every iPhone sale done through the site into their own pockets, everyone would call it insane same vibe
the lower the likelihood of this passing, the lower AAVE should go, imo preferably to zero

Feels like the organic flow of the market went from 30-40% few months ago to less than 5% now. Most crypto price action now is probably just market makers trading against each other and some occasional structural selling from unlocks. Most active liquid guys are just passively observing now.

To a layman, both the DAO and Labs = Aave If everything was 1 company and fees were clearly defined, e.g 10% team 90% aave holders, it wouldn’t undermine confidence Labs/DAO was meant to be a reg arb but they started taking the distinction seriously, which was a mistake.
Watching the Aave Labs vs Aave DAO conflict, my (outside) take is these are two groups acting in good faith but with very mismatched expectations and it will be complex to sort that out. Now contrast that with all the DAOs where it’s just expected the DAO is a patsy who paid for the privilege. That’s a whole other ball of wax. And just like in poker, if you look around the table and don’t know who the patsy is, it’s probably you. I wish more DAOs pushed back like Aave DAO is doing. There’s a TON of founders/foundations/DevCos that could benefit from some constructive criticism.

Never disrespect your ancestors, even in jest. They live in your consciousness and in your DNA, when you malign them you become incongruent and later wonder why everything is going wrong. The ancients were on to something.
I reworded a random TikTok CT decided to take it mad seriously LMAO

Earlier this year I felt very stupid, outcompeted, and out of my depth: risk curators were hoovering up capital with strategies I felt shouldn't have even a dollar in them while innovative defi was down-only. How the tables have turned. Trust your gut even if it feels stupid.

Think everyone cut their positions under 100k pretty rapidly now at 1y vwap + 2025 yearly open, doesn't make sense to be short at the same level that sparked the may rally to ath if btc goes +15% next week we'll have successfully cooked the bulls and the bears

Without the market leader (uniswap) having fees to token holders enabled, there was always some apprehension about bidding other defi tokens that do have fees to holders (hype being the big exception, but that’s more an L1 than defi) Now that it doesn’t feel illegal and unsafe, expecting a greater bid on some defi names as people crunch the $/mcap numbers on uni and realise there’s better deals out there

DeFi’s Next Chapter ▶️✈️ We predict in the next 5 years, the first $1T will be deployed across DeFi. The onchain economy will continue to undergo massive credit expansion, process huge volumes, and emit enormous incentives. There is unrivalled opportunity for yield generation on dollars and crypto-native assets via safe and transparent yield avenues that simply do not exist in the traditional financial system. Institutions have attempted to curate products to address this market, but opaque and irresponsible risk management practices, nested counterparty risks, hidden leverage, dishonesty, and greed, have evaporated billions in value from DeFi — catastrophic vault failures have destroyed capital, and their ripples have caused TVL to recede from the sector. There is a tremendous need and vacuum for trusted, safe, and transparent high-performance products. Jetstream: The Liquidity Autopilot Protocol Jetstream is building a suite of DeFi products for stablecoins, LSTs, and blue chips. Jetstream’s flagship product, Jetstream USD will have: ▶️ 100% transparent and verifiably onchain strategies All TVL stays 100% onchain, always. Strategies directly generate yield on DeFi protocols; no third parties involved. Strategies must have ample liquidity to exit at any time. Time-locked or duration based strategies must be 100% onchain and capped at a small portion of TVL as per a pre-defined risk management framework ▶️ Smart contract-enforced frameworks that prevent arbitrary actions Each strategy component is a separate and fully-audited ‘walled-garden’ smart contract module with immutable whitelisted protocol interactions. New interactions/actions cannot be added in production, TVL is fully confined to the module only, and arbitrary actions are blocked. ▶️ 24/7 live onchain proof-of-reserves and emergency controls Full public disclosure and continuous monitoring of reserves and risk metrics. Constant monitoring for suspicious activity in underlying protocols, with emergency controls and a ‘panic button’ to swiftly exit all strategies. ▶️ The Team You may have heard of us before: Jones has built an extensive suite of DeFi products, encompassing leverage, lending, and liquidity strategies. Jones was an early pioneer of option vaults, delta-neutral stablecoins, and leveraged perpetuals dex LP tokens. We pioneered safe, trustworthy and cutting-edge DeFi strategies that serviced over $50M TVL at their peak. DeFi has evolved significantly, and so has our technology and vision. As Jetstream, we are taking on a new, bolder, and more institutional identity to serve the future of DeFi. Details of the token migration from the Jones token, as well as an airdrop to past and current Jones holders and platform users, can be found in the Jones discord. The Jones platform and frontend will remain fully operational at jonesdao.io Further details on the Jetstream platform and relevant timelines will be revealed in due course. Stay tuned as we build for the future of DeFi, at jetstream.markets
