Coline and Flora’s poster is number 21 on the role of the claustrum on sleep dependent memory consolidation.
Matthieu’s one is number 9 on sensory stimulation in Alzheimer’s disease – at Carry-le-Rouet, France
Finally, we demonstrated that the Claustrum modulates delta waves and supports sleep-dependent memory consolidation.
During these synchronized cortical states, not only the claustrum is active but it is also more effective at driving cortical networks. We further showed that this claustrocortical communication is modulated by cholinergic tone.
It was still unclear whether claustrum activity was related to specific cortical or behavioral states. Using 2-photons imaging of claustrum axons in retrosplenial cortex, we showed that Claustrum neurons are mainly activated during synchronized cortical states (i.e. NREM sleep)
