As the race between the bloc led by an indicted war criminal and a bloc led by an as yet to be indicted war criminal nears its conclusion, it will be a test of just how racist Israel is if the opposition bloc chooses to allow Netanyahu to remain in office rather than form a coalition with the Israeli Palestinian parties. I think I know what the clever money is on.
The problem for Zelensky is that Ukraine didn't have the money to buy the US political system including the White House, and have a lobby system to transfer the money.

One of the things we’re unlikely to see in the budget today is higher taxes on wealth.
This is despite huge popular support for a wealth tax.
Why won’t politicians listen?

To ensure continued impunity, Israelis voted to change the face of mass murder and ethnic cleansing
Israeli opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot says millions of Israelis voted for change, tired of Benjamin Netanyahu’s ‘lies’. In his first public comment after polls closed, Eisenkot warned rival Netanyahu not to use Israel’s security to ‘serve his political interests’.

The neoliberal cabal running the EU into the ground are getting increasingly irate that member countries are putting their own populations' needs before the ideological war of The Garden v The Jungle. Reminds me of the old Vietnam false adage, "We must destroy the village in order to save it".
Western allies are sharply reducing funding for Ukraine: The EU fears a lack of money — Financial Times
▪️ According to a European Commission forecast, aid to Kiev from countries outside the EU will decrease almost fivefold by 2027, from €19 billion to €4 billion.
▪️ At the same time, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Japan are collectively prepared to allocate only €1 billion, according to an analysis by Brussels.
▪️ In light of the impending funding shortfall, the European Commission is considering new borrowing and is also increasing pressure on London, Tokyo, and Ottawa to provide additional funds for Ukraine.
▪️ Thus, the main financial burden of supporting Kiev risks falling on EU countries.
Lavrov called these EU leaders "political masochists" just yesterday. Nailed it again.

🧵 There was always a ‘Plan B’ from those who initially ‘both sided’ the genocidal attack on Palestinians in Gaza, then stayed silent while the hospitals, schools & tents burned, then reluctantly called for a ceasefire, to ‘end the humanitarian tragedy’ … 1/4

In 2002, the Observer reported of the coup that temporarily overthrew Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez that ‘the crucial figure around the coup was Abrams’ and that he ‘gave a nod’ to the plotters. Details of Abrams' record here: theintercept.com/2019/01/30/…
You cannot defy the state consensus. I mean you can openly support a genocidal extremist state, but calling for a negotiated peace in a tragic war.. well, prepare for a lynching.
Remember when the Israel Lobby really started flexing its muscles with Miliband back in 2015 when he led Labour to recognise Palestine? The state and corporate media weren't interested though and outwith nutjob boltholes like The Spectator it was ignored. A few months later though when a genuinely progressive Labour leader came along it was all so very different.

Maguire: "I don't think its out of control if you look at the total figure.. its only 10.6% of the economy, which is low by European standards"

A voter was interviewed on Israeli news, along with two first-time voters, about what led them to choose who to vote for. One of them said that his main issue was that "I don't want there to be Arabs here in the country." The reporter nodded enthusiastically. Say hello to the next generation of Israeli voter.

Israel is deliberately suppressing Arab voter turnout:
Gov incitement at the highest levels
Ben Gvir's police at Arab voting stations
Election workers deliberately obstructing Arabs from voting
Hebrew-only ballots at Arab voting stations
Likud activists sent to film & intimidate Arab voters
There's a real desperation to convince the Greens are in crisis for naming a racist ideology for what it is, meanwhile other political parties can call a regime that murdered 20,000 children "a valuable ally" and no one in the media bats an eye.

The CAA was already thoroughly discredited last December when a judge ruled a case it had brought against the comedian Reginald Hunter was “vexatious” and “abusive” and aimed purely at getting him “cancelled”. So horrified was the judge by their behaviour he instructed a copy of his ruling to be attached to any future legal action brought by the CAA.
It is astonishing the CAA still has charitable status and more astonishing still that the BBC interviews it as being representative of the Jewish community.

So that's a No.
Ed Miliband is asked if the government will sanction the Israeli defence minister and an Israeli major general as illegal settlement expansion and ethnic cleansing intensify in the West Bank.
The foreign secretary said he will not “speculate on future designations”.
