Anomaly has felt less love for CS ever since CS2 replaced CS:GO, and agrees with Loba that the switch came too early ‼️
"Bro, I've said since the beginning Loba was right. They should have not upgraded to CS2, at least not yet. It's in a terrible state. And ever since they released CS2, I've felt less love for CS than before."
This is exactly why the passive AWPer meta died and aggressive riflers with higher eDPI are dominating. You can't hold a pixel anymore. In our database of 199 CS2 pros, players who swing aggressively (like donk at 1000 eDPI) are completely abusing this 41.7% window against static crosshair placement. The game literally forces you to wide-swing or die.
Big props to @Gilboorg for making this video. It clears up a lot of the speculation surrounding CS2. Definitely worth a watch!

i think the writing is on the wall for CS right now. anti-cheat is a "now or never" thing and if it doesn't happen soon, i think the game is actually done. player counts are dwindling for a reason. fucking sucks to see, but they bottled it completely. happy three year anniversary

its not too late @CounterStrike we can still go back to CS:GO..
fl0m is definitely not the only one tired of the current state of CS 😭
For the love of god PLEASE play something besides Mirage and Dust 2. We have an entire map pool and somehow every queue feels like the same two maps on repeat.
CS players will complain the game is stale and then ban anything that isn’t Mirage 💀
FACEIT seriously needs to rethink these ELO resets.
You grind all season to get to your actual rank, then the reset happens and suddenly 2200 players are getting thrown into games with people who were 3000+ last season.
Every game becomes a coinflip until the ranks sort themselves out… and by the time they finally do, another reset is coming.
What’s even the point of grinding ELO if getting higher just means a harder reset?
Anyone actually enjoying this system?

⚠️ℹ️ People are celebrating the new VACnet Labeling Portal and I’m struggling to see what exactly we’re supposed to celebrate.
VACNet has been in development for almost a decade. For years, official CS servers have effectively been the environment where Valve deploys, evaluates and iterates on its behavioral anti-cheat, with legit players dealing with the consequences when those iterations go wrong.
False positives, broken heuristics, rollbacks, months of terrible detection and an official matchmaking environment that has repeatedly paid the price while VACnet “learns”.
And now, after all these years, Valve needs the community again.
Not only do players continue providing the gameplay data VACnet learns from, “selected” players are now being asked to sit outside the game and manually label suspicious gameplay to help train future models.
Once again, Valve isn’t giving the community more, they’re asking the community to give Valve more.
Maps? Community.
Skins? Community.
Years of VACNet training data? The players.
Now manual anti-cheat labeling too.
For a multibillion-dollar company running one of the biggest competitive FPS games in the world, watching this get celebrated as some revolutionary anti-cheat development is honestly bizarre.
And after almost a decade, we’re still here teaching VACNet what a cheater looks like.

I can't believe I'm saying this as a NiKo fan, but he really may be the problem
Any event he rages (which is like every event) he starts to choke and the team eventually loses at some point of the event
You know the event we barely ever saw him rage at? Major. And guess what happened.

Some guy on TikTok managed to trade himself after dying.
Unlike CS:GO, this is actually possible in CS2 thanks to subtick. The chances are like 0.1%, bro used up all his luck for this one shot😭

at this point what the f*ck is Valve doing
swapping Mirage with Cache would have been the least painful way of moving a 13 year old dated Source 1 looking map to a rework, a classic replacing a classic
they removed Overpass, added it again with almost no changes and now are removing it again, what is the point?
not to mention that now we have arguably the most pug-y map pool of all time with Mirage, Dust II and Cache
if you’re always gonna remove the least played map, then we are stuck with the same 6 maps forever
just makes me think they dont know what they’re doing either, just look what they did to Vertigo

What a legend @FalleNCS
From knowing you from 1.6 and to follow your insane story in CS:GO with kabum to winning majors.
An inspiration to the scene, always have been and always will.
I remember watching the Rio major from the stands with you, to have a moment with you and discussing the game furia was playing ❤️
Enjoy the rest of the year
