Ron Paul was booed at the Republican debate for saying Iran didn't have a weapon (they didn't). Then he made one of my all time favorite debate moments:   "If they're so determined to go to war, the only thing I plead with you for if this is the case, is do it properly. Ask the people and ask the Congress for a declaration of war. This is war! People are gonna die and you gotta get a declaration of war!"

It’s comical that people actually believe this is a “one-time” tax. They need the $100 billion to fund these expanded programs for 4-5 years. What do people think happens after that? The first magically self-sustaining government programs? They will obviously need a new $150 billion 5 years from now.

Second — and that’s where things get extremely interesting. Proposition 40 — the proposed one-time 5% wealth tax on California billionaires — is mentioned no fewer than 25 times in the SEC document. @Meta explicitly states that one purpose of its new stock issuance is to allow Mark Zuckerberg to pay the billionaire wealth tax. “… so that he may pay his potential tax liability under California Proposition 40, if enacted into law.” Here’s how it will work.

Why not pay taxes instead of performative charity?

Everyone in France believes they are entitled to live at the expense of everyone else- Government spending is 57% of GDP and they just tried to reduce the annual deficit from 5.4% to 5.0% of GDP. Tell these people they can have lower taxes and higher welfare benefits forever or they will burn your shit.
Mao’s style cultural revolution is happening in the west. The historic Limoges town hall has just completely collapsed after far-left rioters set it on fire. It was built in 1876. It survived World Wars. It did not survive modern France.

The IRS is a terrorist organization
The IRS sent armed agents into a family bakery and drained $68,382 from its bank account. Their “crime”? Depositing their OWN CASH in amounts under $10,000. Then the government demanded ANOTHER $160,000 and a guilty plea to a FELONY. The IRS called it “structuring”: deliberately keeping deposits small to dodge bank reporting rules. DAVID VOCATURA: “I said to them, ‘Maybe I should get a lawyer.’ And they said, ‘You don’t need one, step in the back.’” “Until the day they came in, I had no idea what structuring was.” “I’m a law-abiding citizen. I can’t remember the last time I got a speeding ticket.” Nearly three years after seizing the money, a prosecutor came back with a deal that carried up to FOUR YEARS IN PRISON: DAVID VOCATURA: “They wanted us to pay another additional $160,000 in fines and plead to a felony charge of structuring.” They refused. You bake bread for three generations. You pay your taxes. You put your own money in the bank. And the IRS treats you like a criminal, demanding nearly a quarter million dollars. CONTEXT: Fortunately, the IRS didn’t get away with this one. Hours after the Institute for Justice sued, the IRS agreed to return all $68,382.22. Two weeks later, it withdrew a grand jury subpoena demanding eight years of the bakery’s business records. Crazy that they tried to ruin a business over depositing money into their own bank account.

Is California’s wealth tax really a “one time” tax? Where do you suppose they’ll get the money to fund these programs after the money runs out? In 2012, voters approved a “temporary” income tax increase on high earners through 2018. In 2016, voters approved an extension of this tax through 2030. Now, in the same year they’ll be voting on a new “one time” tax, they’ll also be voting to make the once temporary 2012 tax permanent. Because:

Ro Khanna gives you a $400 billion per year projection as a 10 year figure to make it sound massive, but he leaves out that we are $40 trillion in debt with $2 trillion yearly deficits. We are borrowing money with interest to pay back borrowed money with interest- and we're currently projected to run $24 trillion total in deficits over the next 10 years. But don't worry- if we force the sale of assets every year we will definitely raise enough to finally pay for free everything with no unintended consequences.
Prop 40 is the most important ballot initiative in America. A 5% tax on the 989 billionaires in our country would raise $4 trillion. We have to ask a basic question: Are we going to be New Deal Democrats or donor class Democrats?

Not only do 89% of seniors support raising taxes on workers to maintain current benefits.. 54% of retirees support raising taxes on workers- even if it means those workers will get back less than they paid in. This is while many retirees are getting 1.5-2X more than they paid in 👀
