As much as we all argue about what's best for society, we need to get involved in our local communities to do what's in our power to start improving it. @martyrmade gives @ThomasEWoods a quick case for getting to know your neighbors as the first step.

The eMudhra compromise is an absolute joke. This isn't a standard data leak it's pure, unadulterated structural incompetence.
8 globally trusted intermediate CA keys were generated with basically zero cryptographic entropy. 😠 A standard NIST P-384 private key needs 384 bits of entropy so it's mathematically impossible to crack.
Yet, the blokes at @eMudhra generated production keys with 3 to 8 bits. The actual private key values were literal single digits like 4, 56, and 115. This is playground-level stuff. Infuriatingly amateur.
How does a private company with zero fundamental grasp of public key infrastructure even get global root trust? Indian regulatory and auditing bodies make us look like complete idiots. They treat cybersecurity like a casual compliance checkbox instead of critical national infrastructure.
This failure leaves the entire internet with a massive cleanup job. Browsers blocked these keys fast, but millions of unmaintained Linux distros, embedded IoT tech, Docker containers, and backend apps are completely exposed out there.
If you're an everyday user (not a developer), you still need to fix this on your personal devices right now:
Update everything: Force-update your web browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and your operating systems across your laptop, Mac, and mobile phone. Don't wait for auto-updates manually trigger them in your settings.
Test your device: Go to emudhra.we-have-a-problem.co…
Verify the result: If your browser blocks the site and says "Did not connect" (or throws a certificate error), you are safe. If the website opens normally, you are still vulnerable.
If you're running Linux, Python, Go, or Node infrastructure:
Stop what you're doing. Manually update your ca-certificates bundles, pins, or drop a system-level blocklist immediately to prevent traffic interception.
The casual negligence of these agencies shouldn't be your vulnerability.

George Washington did sign a deal to end the Revolution. It was called the Treaty of Paris, and it established America’s boundaries and water rights, handled war debts, allowed for return of prisoners of war, provided restitution for property, and even gave the British the right to navigate the Mississippi River.
That’s how wars end. Mitt Romney doesn’t know this, because Romneys don’t fight wars. Romneys either flee to Europe or stay home and get rich while better men fight wars for them. The Romneys never saw a war they weren’t willing to dodge while demanding better men fight it for them.

🇮🇳 Your BANK, your email, practically ANY website could have been impersonated, with your browser none the wiser.
All thanks to one company's INSANE security blunder.
Indian company eMudhra, trusted to certify that websites are genuine, used EIGHT cryptographic keys so ridiculously weak they could be cracked almost instantly.
How weak? A normal key relies on a secret number roughly 116 digits long.
eMudhra's secret numbers? Just 4, 56 and 237. These are NOT pieces of the keys. They were the ACTUAL numbers! 🤯
Anyone with those keys could have forged trusted certificates for virtually any website, potentially fooling your browser if they intercepted your connection.
Major browsers have already blocked the keys, and there's no confirmed malicious use so far.
But cleaning up older devices and software could be a nightmare. An expert warns it could be bigger than Heartbleed, the infamous 2014 security disaster that took years to fix, because millions of old devices and systems still need updating.
And here we are, being told our passwords need another capital letter and a special character.

Gun laws deserve to be broken — Even Hamilton had it right.
“There is no position which depends on clearer principles, than that every act of a delegated authority, contrary to the tenor of the commission under which it is exercised, is void. No legislative act, therefore, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid.” ~Alexander Hamilton

Ian Freeman spent decades putting liberty on the airwaves, challenging government power, defending peaceful dissent, and giving ordinary people a microphone when the establishment would rather they remain silent.
Now the man who helped give so many others a voice is sitting inside a federal prison.
There is something profoundly obscene about watching a government cage a peaceful advocate for freedom while congratulating itself on being the land of the free.
Ian has lost enough years. His wife has waited long enough. His friends have fought long enough.
We are closer than ever. Keep the pressure on.

Today I learned that @MittRomney somehow had the gall to run for President of the United States of America without even so much as a basic Wikipedia education about the American Revolutionary War.
For those of you who are not Americans, George Washington did, in fact, do a deal to end the American Revolution. The deal was called the Treaty of Paris. It was negotiated by Franklin, Jay, and Adams. It physically still exists in the national archives.
Mitt Romney doesn't know his own country's history.
He also doesn't understand asymmetric warfare, which is a thing that you kinda might want the Commander in Chief of the military might of the United States of America to understand.
Asymmetric wars are always fought for the purpose of getting the larger force to decide the juice isn't worth the squeeze, and to give up and go home. Usually this is punctuated by negotiations.
When you are in a war, that war is not just a military conflict. It is a contest on every level of society, and quite frequently it is punctuated by negotiations which leverage the strength of what you have achieved in other arenas.
The real moral of this story is that the political class isn't smarter than you. And they aren't more knowledgeable, either.
They're just better positioned and less scrupulous.
When they run for office, they do not bring to that office any great talent or unifying vision. They are simply the central node of a network of advisors, policy wonks, lobbyists, and tame think-tank intellectuals.
They will say nothing to that hasn't been scripted, and hear no questions they were not coached for in advance.
George Washington, were he here to unite us today, would have these men tarred, feathered, and thrown in the reflecting pool.

🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting in Virginia after police showed up at a mother’s home at 2 A.M. and TOWED HER CAR over a SH00TING she had NOTHING to do with...
...because a FLOCK CAM pointed them to the WRONG CAR!!!
Now her car is a TOTAL LOSS and she MIGHT LOSE HER JOB!!!!
Yes, you read that right, a Flock camera got it wrong, the cops took her car ANYWAY, and she’s the one paying for it.
Her name is Rosalyn Crump, she’s a mom raising 3 boys in Richmond VA
On July 29th, just before 2 in the morning, Richmond police officers showed up outside her home on Sussex Street.
She was ASLEEP, but someone woke her up and told her police were outside and her car was being towed.
Police say the Flock system had linked her 2012 Hyundai Elantra to a sh00ting near Gilpin Court and body camera footage shows the officers shining flashlights through her windows.
At one point, one of them seemed to doubt they even had the right car.
They noticed her KIDS’ CAR SEATS were buckled in the back, but they towed it anyway.
Rosalyn came outside and told them flat out: “Y’all got the wrong car.”
She told them she’d been at her mom’s house all day, came home at 4, and waited for her kids to get off the bus at 5.
Nobody had driven her car.
An officer decided her story didn’t match the Flock data and said on camera that she was, “definitely not telling the truth.”
Minutes later, Seibert’s Towing hauled her car away.
If you think that was insane... well, IT GETS WORSE.
About FOUR DAYS later, she finally got a phone call.
Her car had been released FOUR HOURS after they took it... because police had already found the person they were actually looking for.
NOBODY FROM THE POLICE TOLD HER!!!!!
When she went to get her car back, she found it DAMAGED from the tow.
The towing company’s VP admitted fault in writing.
Then the claim went to insurance, and the company said it could no longer settle with her directly.
Her mechanic’s verdict:
TOTAL LOSS.
Richmond police now admit Flock cameras led them to the wrong vehicle.
Meanwhile, Rosalyn has lost wages, can’t get to work on time, and is paying for a RENTAL CAR out of her own pocket just to get her boys where they need to go.
She literally did nothing wrong and was home with her kids.
THIS IS INSANE!!!!!!!!

By now it should be clear to our decision makers: we will not be able to end this war until we meaningfully restrain Israel. The Israelis have thwarted—& will continue to thwart—any deal we attempt to reach with Tehran.
Israel drove us into this war because we let them. The fundamental issue is this administration’s inability to stop our junior partner from acting like our senior partner.
It’s long past time for our leaders to do just that—lead by restraining the Israelis & end this war now.
Netanyahu on Iran:
Mojtaba decided to follow in his father's footsteps. He pulled the trigger, and Iran is once again trying to develop its bombs of death.
Therefore, there is only one way to remove this threat once and for all: to overthrow the regime in Iran.
And that is my directive to the IDF, Mossad and the security services.

Every one of us agreed on this: a restrained, constitutional foreign policy is the single issue the entire political spectrum can unite around. The only people left out are the uni-war-party.

Northeastern politicians called for secession when Thomas Jefferson was buying the Louisiana Territory.
The seven senators who voted against ratification were from Delaware and New England. Although officially objecting that Jefferson lacked constitutional authority to buy the land, their true complaint was that the vast territory would inevitably result in the addition of more states, thereby reducing the influence of their own states in the Federal Government. Some argued for secession. Massachusetts Senator Timothy Pickering wrote Boston’s George Cabot in January 1803, “The principles of our Revolution point to the remedy - a seperation.”
