Logan Cooley is the fifth former Gopher to record four-or-more NHL hat tricks, following Thomas Vanek, Phil Kessel, Neal Broten, and Blake Wheeler.
Twenty different former #Gophers have combined to score 57 NHL hat tricks, all-time.
With Luca Di Pasquo and Melvin Strahl each earning a victory last week, two different #Gophers goaltenders recorded a win in a sweep of North Dakota for the first time since Justin Johnson and Adam Hauser on Feb. 8-9, 2002.
Both Di Pasquo (last year) and Strahl (last week) got the first wins of their Gopher careers against the Fighting Hawks.
After becoming the youngest player to score a goal for the #Gophers since 2018 and the youngest Gopher to record a hat trick in the NCAA era, Wyatt Cullen lands Big Ten First Star of the Week honors.
Cullen is the eighth Minnesota freshman to earn a Big Ten First Star and the first since Logan Cooley on Dec. 13, 2022.

The #Gophers have swept North Dakota in men's hockey and won the Floyd of Rosedale in the same week for the second time.
On Oct. 25, 1980, the hockey team capped a sweep with a 4-3 overtime win in Grand Forks and the football team beat Iowa at home, 24-6.
