Growing up as a farm kids, our dads always talked about some of the worse years. My dad always talked about 1993 (caps lock), 1991, 1995, 88/89, 2006 march blizzard, and 2009. I have a feeling I’ve experienced my 2nd year to talk about for the rest of my life. 2012 & 2026.

It "is truly a treasure of college football. I love (the) passion of our fans. I love their expectation. I love their standard for what they’re looking for. Don’t change. Don’t change...
"I don’t want to coach for a fanbase that isn’t passionate about what this needs to be."
Sun was shining, wind was blowing, and probably had the driest conditions we’ve had since maybe Friday? Probably an opinion answer on that. Either way, we have some angry clouds rolling in after lucking out so far with only .15”

At first you lose big. And then you lose close. And then you lose close. And then you lose close. And then you lose close. And then you lose close. And then you lose close. And then you lose close. And then you lose clo
Went out and tried. Got about 1/8th of a mile and came back home. All week we have basically had .05” every morning in either mist or humidity and dew. No sunshine other than a few hours. We will get 1-2 inches of rain on Monday-Tuesday with an already full profile. 2026!
Tomorrow morning it’s gonna be raining and a forecast of 10 days of rain. Corns at 15 moisture. We worked today. I hope the lord can forgive me because I have bills to pay and a crop that’s shrinking by the day. Will shrink even more in next 10 days

No Sundays here either, always nice to have a family day and come back Monday morning ready to go again
I want to thank every Dekalb grower out there. Without you guys we may have $3 corn. Holy trash. Thankfully only have 5 bags planted of it.

Not many electricians will show up at 8pm in late October. Called him at 10:30 this morning with a bin issue and he still made time for us in his busy day. A great electrician is a great asset. Great guys
Anyone know how many hours an alternator lasts on these new combines? Well the answer is 560 hours. Thankfully mom and dad ran and got the part an hour away and essentially only had about hour and a half of downtime. Dad out moving the pivot now for us
In a world full of war, politics, Husker football heartbreaks, and government payments, I live a pretty lucky life. Harvesting corn on on our home quarter my grandpa bought and a beautiful wife at home with food ready for me when I’m done for the day. Very blessed.
