It is nearly an impossible task to convey just how amazing kids are to someone who doesn’t have any.
The best way I can describe it is this:
You spend your whole life thinking you understand love.
Then one night, you’ll find yourself standing in a room at 2 a.m., just watching your newborn baby breathe, just to make sure they are still alive.
And you realize in that moment that you would burn the entire world to the ground for the slow rise and fall of that tiny chest.
You become braver and absolutely terrified at the same time.
You start looking for exits in restaurants and worrying about that weird stranger in the parking lot.
You discover a capacity for anger and violence you never knew lived in you until you think you might need it because someone might hurt your kid.
The first time you see your kid, the entire world changes.
You realize you are meant to live for them… not for you.
And it feels good. It feels right.
Like a key to a door you have always been looking at but could never open.
And one ordinary afternoon probably while you’re folding socks or something dumb, it will hit you…
This is how your parents loved you.
This is what she felt watching you sleep.
This is what your dad felt every time he watched you walk out the door.
And you had no idea.
You spent your entire childhood with no idea.
It’s so beautiful, words fail to describe it.
It’s just right, it was always meant to be this way. ❤️

We heard of Toxic Masculinity for 20 years
It is now time to talk about Toxic Feminism
This is rich @SenateGOP. Finger pointing at the dems for your own failure is beyond infuriating. It's actually disgusting. Do you have any idea how much you are loathed right now?

This woman received a summons to appear in court for theft based on flock camera evidence that she was stealing packages. The problem for law enforcement is that she had her own cameras set up, which absolutely proved that it wasn’t her. The officer refused to show her the evidence at her door because he said that she was arguing with him and not being forthright. When you look at the camera footage, it is two totally different people. He absolutely was refusing to cooperate with her. He was convinced that the camera footage showed her, even though she had camera footage to prove that it wasn’t. This is the danger of these cameras. Law enforcement in some cases is using and abusing them .
Ultimately, she was able to prove her innocence using her own camera footage, but what if she didn’t have her own cameras set up?
X and I have a little morning ritual.
I like my first post of the morning and X immediately redirects to a screen where I first verify I'm human, then get locked out. X kindly provides an appeal process with a start button which immediately redirects me back to my feed. Cute.
New X glitch: I like my first post today and boom: I get asked if I'm human and when I click on the verification, I get suspended, then immediately unsuspended when I click on "start".
Now X is giving me little squicky praises each time I like a post. What is happening?!
THIS. Every time.
The most life-saving thing you can do for a family member you love is to NEVER leave their bedside if they’re ever admitted to hospital.
Every hour you’re allowed to be there— watch over everything like you are doing the biggest test of your life. Take turns with other family members if you need to.
Every medicine, every health professional who walks in the room, any symptom your loved one experiences.
Be present. Speak up. Ask questions.
Don’t give a ___ if any unprofessional staff member tries to make you feel like you shouldn’t be there or dismisses you. The health of your loved one is too important.
Be perfectly polite and cordial but make it clear that you demand the highest standards and attentiveness.
As a doctor who has worked in dozens of hospitals in the USA and Europe— trust me when I tell you this could save your loved one’s life one day.
Be a supportive ROCK advocate at the bedside.
X just got pissy at me for liking too many posts. I got locked out AFTER verifying I was human then immediately let back in after clicking on "appeal." X said to review the rulz.
Hey @X, I'm a peruser of posts, mostly small accounts. Hitting like is what I do.🤷♀️ What's the prob?

Dear America, please stop referring to members of the Senate and House as our "leaders." We do not answer to them. They are merely our representatives, and they should be reminded of that fact often.
Something good is happening at this World Cup.
The Scots turned up. The English turned up. The Norwegians turned up. They sang their songs, got stuck in, and the Americans loved them for it. Glasgow and Boston are getting twinned off the back of it.
For 30 years we’ve been told to view the US as some sort of Great Satan — all imperialism and orange-man clichés. Not everyone buys it of course, but enough do.
And then Europeans actually go, and find a place that feels familiar. Makes sense to them. A bit richer, a bit further ahead, but recognisably ours. Settled by Europeans, still deeply European in its bones.
There’s a gathering-of-the-clans feeling to it. Old neighbours discovering they still like the same songs, the same drink, the same daft humour, and genuinely enjoying each other’s company.
None of it’s a surprise, really. It’s just been buried under so much politics that we forgot we were allowed to enjoy it.
Good to be reminded.

BREAKING: VP Vance just SHOT DOWN the defeatism coming from Leader Thune on the SAVE America Act:
Reporter: "Leader Thune says it's unrealistic to get the SAVE America Act passed, do you believe this is possible?"
Vance: "Why don‘t we try? At least force people to vote against it... let people go on the record and actually answer to the American people."

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this day, the breath in my lungs, and Your mercy that meets me every morning. Thank You for the loving Heart of Jesus that never turns me away.
Lord Jesus, I bring You everything that weighs on me—my worries, my confusion, my fears about tomorrow, and the burdens I have carried for far too long. I place them now in Your Sacred Heart. Calm my restless spirit, quiet the storms within me, and fill the empty places with Your peace. Heal what has been wounded, restore what has been broken, and renew the joy that anxiety has stolen. Teach my heart to trust You completely. I choose peace over worry, faith over fear, joy over discouragement, and rest in Your loving care.
My account has been restored! I was suspended permanently for...??? Liking too many posts? Not sure. Anyhoo, back to lurking and liking posts. 🥰
I just got blocked by X for violating the rules! I was just surfing and liking posts when it went to a screen that told me to verify I was human. I clicked the verify button and was then blocked. I clicked on the review, and was promptly unblocked. What messy glitch is this?

8-12 people die from Hantavirus every year in the United States, compared to ~350,000 people who die from medical error. But sure, let's freak out over Hantavirus.
Good gracious.
