Two F-16 from the Romanian Air Force shot down two aerial drones that entered our airspace without authorization over the Black Sea.
The military informed that the first drone entered the national airspace at 17:59 and was shot down within 2 minutes, 25km SE of Sulina.
The second drone, in the same area, was engaged and shot down at 18:05, 4 minutes after entering the national airspace, 20km E of Sulina.
The Black Sea serves as a critical maritime artery for the global export of grain, energy resources, and industrial commodities, making its stability vital to international food and energy security.

A Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. Once again, no early warning from our partners. The main target was energy infrastructure, specifically CHPP-4. Unfortunately, it was hit. A residential building was also damaged, and rescuers are currently putting out a fire there. Our systems detected these missiles only when they were already virtually on approach to Kyiv. CHPP-4 is one of Kyiv’s key energy facilities.
According to our intelligence, the Russians are preparing further ballistic missile launches. The facts show that the Russians do not consider themselves bound by what the President of the United States said. Ukraine supported an energy ceasefire. Russia is targeting yet another power plant and the lives of our people.
And this is absolutely unjust: when they are destroying our energy infrastructure, and Ukraine is not even receiving early warnings about ballistic missile launches. It is important that the world does not stay silent about this. And it is important that the United States really see what is happening and who is responsible for this war continuing.

Power is out across Ukraine's capital after Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. The Kyiv metro halted operations. Electric trolley buses stopped working and are parked on roadsides. There are no street lights. This is what it looks like in central Shevchenko Park right now.

The death toll from the Russian missile attack on an apartment block in Pryluky has climbed to 18 now, including three 1-year-old boys and an 8-year-old boy, according to Zelenskyy and state emergency services.
Work to clear the rubble is ongoing at the site of a Russian missile strike on a residential building in Pryluky. As of now, 18 people have been reported killed, four of them children: Oleksandr, Kyrylo, and Serhii, who were only one year old, and eight-year-old Maksym. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. Dozens of people were injured, including seven children. All emergency services are involved and working at the site. Fifteen people were rescued, including one child. There are still people who have not yet been accounted for.
The Russians know very well that they are striking ordinary cities, ordinary life. And the continued use of missiles against Ukraine, against our people, our children, is an absolutely deliberate choice of terror. This is what Moscow chooses – despite all our efforts with partners to bring peace closer. And this is a clear reason why more pressure on Russia is needed and why Ukraine needs more defense packages. It is important that leaders understand this. It is important that the world not remain silent today.

As Russia further escalates its war against Ukraine, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk said on Friday his office had verified some 15,280 civilians killed and injured in Ukraine during the first eight months of this year – on average more than 400 every week, and 55 per cent more than in the same period in 2025.
