Regarding Russian conscripts, this is not the case. The overwhelming percentage of Russian forces fighting in this war are men well over 30 who accepted service contracts for money. They were not conscripted, or mobilized. For more on this topic: warontherocks.com/a-return-t…
Replying to @skscartoon
The endless slaughter of Ukrainian and Russians must stop. We should some sympathy for the poor Russian conscripts too. Those kids have no choice but to fight and die in drone strikes.

Lunchtime in Gaza for the dogs at Sulala:
I had to visit the cats (and let the dogs out!) at @SulalaSociety, the only animal rescue left in Gaza. Saeed and his family care for so many injured & hungry animals here—medicine provided by @AllHandsHearts enables surgeries & sterilization. Hachiko is also helping with food.

Great news about Starlink speeds. It should not have taken this long to get it restored — how many Ukrainians died because they couldn’t properly intercept drones?
The most important thing today is that Starlink and Starshield operations have been restored to the speeds we had before the restrictions. The speeds are now where they need to be. The restoration began overnight, and by this morning, speeds were already sufficient. This matters: for our frontline logistics, for defending Ukraine against jet-powered “shaheds.” I thank all Americans and all our partners who took this seriously and truly helped – members of Congress, senators, all the media, the State Department, and the President. Protecting lives matters.

During a trip to Venezuela in September, I found people hoping for change, but shocked and surprised by US policy. The system looks, one economist told me, like “a coalition of two kleptocracies" theatlantic.com/magazine/202…

5 days after Russia bombed an apartment building in Sloviansk, rescuers saved this cat from the rubble after hearing his meows. 🥹 Unfortunately the kitty’s family was killed in the attack. The Hachiko team will make sure the cat gets all the help he needs.

I recently went to this Epicenter (Ukraine’s Walmart) in Kyiv to buy pet food & supplies we took to the pet shelter in Odesa that Russia blew up. Today, they blew up the store, along with other civilian targets in Kyiv. Cluster bombs were reportedly used for maximum destruction.

The “humanitarians” in Russia sure do commit a lot of war crimes.
Russia attacked the centre of Kyiv with Iskander ballistic missiles containing cluster munitions during last night's attack, Ukrainian authorities confirm.

My take: Putin gave up nothing by releasing a 74-year-old American held as a pawn for this type of moment. Putin is not a humanitarian, despite how Mr Witkoff addressed him. And whereas President Trump says he gave up nothing for Stephen Hubbard's release, you will hear all the experts correctly say that he did: busting his own sanctions for a diesel deal with Putin that could put $4 billion into his war chest; inviting Putin to the G20; and dumping Putin's victim, Ukraine, face down in the mud, as it tries to defend its sovereignty and its freedom. You’ve heard the historians call all this appeasement, going against America's own democratic values. nytimes.com/2026/10/21/us/po…

Good evening from our Gaza warehouse 🚛 We just unloaded 3 big trucks filled with equipment for community kitchens that will help produce hundreds of thousands of meals each week for schools & displacement camps. In kitchens across Gaza, stoves are breaking down and pots are falling apart after years of use, so a delivery like this is so critical. I’m grateful to our @AllHandsHearts team here for working late to ensure these supplies arrived safe!

These are not transfers from the US, but from other countries. The US is now actively sabotaging Ukrainian defense of civilians.
Breaking news: The Trump administration has not approved the transfer of interceptor missiles to Ukraine that are needed to protect the country from Russian attacks, officials said, a delay that comes as President Trump has embraced Russia in recent weeks. wapo.st/4yCb7T7

Russia killed a one year old girl in her stroller today. Her mother died in the hospital a few hours later.

In fact, Russian attacks have been killing Ukrainian civilians daily - and attacks have accelerated since Trump took office.
