Here is how ESPN completed a masterclass of media manipulation that benefits them ONLY:
ESPN hypes up LeBron signing with the Sixers and playing the Knicks on Ring Night as if the Knicks have to prove anything to LeBron, which they dont
Out of the blue, Shams reports a “black cloud” over the Knicks (Oct. 5) about Karl-Anthony Towns contract negotiations and lots of Knick fans fall for the drama, even when respected Knick reporters refute the story (Begley)
Then ESPN pushes the “they’re still the Knicks” narrative even AFTER THEY WON A TITLE
Naturally, Towns gets the same contract questions for weeks until he finally gets fed up and hits reporters with “No shit, Sherlock.”
**Reminder the 2nd apron limit isn’t something these players just discovered on WFAN. They understand the business and are very close so they all knew the deal (And it’s not just Dolan making these decisions Leon Rose is part of it too.) Nobody was blindsided except fans and the media, who turned normal business into DRAMA.**

The sad part is that Knicks fans are buying it. It’s one thing for haters to buy it but it is sad that Knick fans have bought it bc of their negative Dolan PTSD delusion hit them.

In honor of Knicks ring night, I did some research on the history of championship rings, and (pun intended) found this absolute gem:
