Deeply concerned by the recent vandalism at Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom, the second violent incident at the synagogue in under six months. Call to fully investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice. Stand firmly with the Jewish community and remain committed to fighting antisemitism.
The Consulate General of Israel in Montreal is deeply concerned by the latest incident at Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom, where windows were damaged by what appears to be pellet gun fire. This is the second such violent act targeting the synagogue in less than six months. We call on the authorities to conduct a full and thorough investigation and to bring those responsible to justice. Antisemitism and attacks on Jewish institutions have no place in Montreal or anywhere else. We stand with the Jewish community and reaffirm our commitment to its safety and security.

Increasing instances of antisemitism - Over recent years, these demonstrations and rallies have frequently featured hostile rhetoric and provided public visibility to groups promoting hatred and violence.
A clear shift in rhetoric at a Montreal hate rally. 'Jews can stay in a liberated Palestine' used to be the party line. "We'll kick the Zios out" is now the chant. 90% of Israeli Jews are Zionists. This is a mob, calling for ethnic cleansing.

Today, Israeli diplomats abroad voted ahead of the general elections taking place in two weeks. 🗳️🇮🇱 Throughout my 8 years in the diplomatic service, I’ve had the honor of casting my vote across the globe: first in #Oslo , then #NewDelhi, and today for the third time in #Ottawa . Democracy thrives on equal participation, ensuring that every vote counts equally. Third time's a charm!

Abbas canceling the elections and fooling the international community comes as no surprise. Now, let’s see if this has any actual implications for those who made state recognition conditional on democratic processes and governance
The Palestinian Authority hasn't held presidential elections since 2005 or legislative elections since 2006 Mahmoud Abbas is fooling the international community by canceling once again promised elections. His reform pledges to end “pay-for-slay” terrorist salaries and hate education remain empty too. They keep deceiving. Consequences? Not for the corrupt PA!

I am proud to see Israel return to Tier 1 in the U.S. State Department’s annual Trafficking in Persons Report. I thank Secretary of State @SecRubio and the @StateDept for recognizing Israel’s unwavering commitment to the highest standards in the fight against human trafficking. Israel is determined to combat this abhorrent phenomenon, protect its victims, and hold perpetrators accountable. We will continue to do everything necessary to lead this important fight. I commend Israel’s national task force and all those involved for their dedication and professionalism. @IsraelMFA @JusticeGov

On October 7, 2023, eight Canadians were brutally murdered by Hamas during its horrific terrorist attacks in Israel. Three years later, we remember who they were and honour their memories. These eight individuals were among more than 1,200 people - women, men, children, and the elderly - who were murdered and slaughtered on that dark day. Ben Mizrahi, 22 Alexandre Look, 33 Tiferet Lapidot, 23 Judi Weinstein-Haggai, 70 Adi Vital-Kaploun, 33 Neta Epsetin, 21 Vivian Silver, 74 Shir Gregory, 22

Capt. Smit Machchhar is a modern-day hero. he has earned the deepest gratitude of us all.
This man is a hero. Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian captain of flydubai Flight 1073, fought back after being stabbed in the cockpit. Despite being severely injured, he managed to unlock the cockpit door - allowing Israeli passengers and the Emirati crew to intervene and save all the passengers. Together, their extraordinary courage saved 174 lives. Indian. Israeli. Emirati. Different nationalities. One extraordinary act of courage. 🇮🇳🇮🇱🇦🇪 We wish Captain Machchhar a full and speedy recovery.

flydubai flight incident was a terror attack aimed at Israeli civilians, intended to crash the plane and sabotage the Abraham Accords. Tragedy was averted after crew and passengers - including one inspired by a Canadian TV show - intervened.
Passenger says he learned from the 🇨🇦documentary ’Mayday’ show how to lift the✈️up from diving into the ground and save it.

Distrust, fear, and harassment shouldn't be part of the university experience. The testimonies shared by Jewish students on Parliament Hill are a alarming wake-up call. Campus leaders and officials must take decisive action to tackle antisemitism now.
“We’re not debating ideologies. We’re attending schools and frequenting public spaces where our identity has become a political statement in other people’s eyes.” Livia, a Jewish student from Montreal, is one of dozens of Jewish university students from across Canada taking their fight for equal treatment to Parliament Hill today. Listen to Livia’s story.

Reminder to the leaders of Canada, France, and Britain: when they speak about a two-state solution, they should recall that during negotiations in 2000 and 2008, Israel agreed to an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and it was the Palestinians who rejected the offers. Peace cannot be achieved over our heads. In the meantime, we will continue working to strengthen the Abraham Accords-details in the attached article.

Tonight, as Jewish communities recited “Blessed are You, Lord, who spreads the canopy of peace over us,” a synagogue in #Belleville came under attack. Praying for peace on Yom Kippur is no longer enough when Jewish sacred spaces continue to be targeted.
❗️🚨❗️Terror attack against the Jewish community Sons of Jacob synagogue in Belleville, Ontario on the eve of Yom Kippur❗️🚨❗️ Thanks to the bravery of the police lives have been saved. However so much more must be done immediately to protect the lives of the Jewish community! Israel has repeatedly offered support, and will continue to avail any kind of assistance required.

Being in Ottawa today during the Terry Fox Run to raise awareness for cancer research is truly inspiring. Standing by his statue in the heart of the city, you’re reminded of what strength and determination look like. As we also enter Yom Kippur, a sacred day of reflection and atonement, these moments together remind us to look inward, strive to become better versions of ourselves, think of others, and give back wherever we can. Wishing everyone good health, kindness, a meaningful fast and G'mar tov to those who observe.

September 8th, 2026, Ottawa, Canada – The State of Israel rejects the attempt by the government of Canada, in collaboration with the United Kingdom, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, to meddle in domestic democratic elections as a result of their hostile joint statement and future plans. Moralizing from afar might offer cheap satisfaction, but it is not a strategy. This is a clear case of singling out the one Jewish State, and the only democracy in the Middle East. Every move of this nature only serves to push intervening nations out of any meaningful regional influence. Furthermore, these unilateral steps actively undermine prospects for peace, directly contribute to a surge in global antisemitism, and ignore the fundamental fact that the Jewish people have a documented historical connection and right to live across the Land of Israel. Just like the recognition of the virtual Palestinian state, this unilateral approach won't improve a single Palestinian life and will contribute to economic insecurity for Palestinians across the West Bank and East Jerusalem. It very well might earn Canada another round of “thank-yous” from Hamas while pushing a real solution for peace and prosperity further away. This will cause more hate and danger to Jewish community of Canada, who are already suffering from lack of protection amidst the alarming rise in antisemitism under this government’s watch. Since Oct 7, Canada has repeatedly undermined our bilateral relationship instead of leveraging it to advance shared goals. The claim that Israel is undermining the possibility of a two-State solution is fabricated, and inverts the damage and distrust caused by the Islamists and Jihadists of the Palestinian side. “Israel rejects Canada’s attempt to influence the outcome of the elections in Israel, as well as the decision to sacrifice bilateral trade for political gain.”

Those in the "pro-Palestinian" movement who don't know how to provide arguments and avoid addressing the core issues resort to humiliation and defamation. That's their method. We see you.
The Nazification of the so‑called “pro-Palestine” movement is no exaggeration. Large segments of this conglomerate have turned what should be a moral cause into an exceptionally hateful, racist, antisemitic, homophobic, and toxic ecosystem of low‑information activists, journalists, academics, and online personalities. Since my New York Times opinion piece, “To Save Gaza, Resist Hamas,” I have been targeted by a global smear campaign driven by Hamas, “pro-Palestine” fascists, antisemites, racists, and deeply disturbed individuals with hundreds of thousands of followers. They have circulated AI‑generated images and fabricated posts claiming I am Jewish, an Epstein‑connected agent blackmailed by Mossad, a closeted gay man, and a paid influencer funded by Israel (I am none of those things, in case you are curious). This is happening at the same moment other corners of the “pro-Palestine” industrial complex are calling a Black member of Congress a “monkey” and a “boy.” Add to that the meltdown among supposed journalists, academics, and influencers who clearly did not read the op‑ed and reacted only to the title, furious that I criticized Hamas, their favorite “resistance” Islamist fascist group in Gaza, or that I refused to place all blame for the coastal enclave’s problems on Israel. The backlash actually proves my central argument in this piece. Many in the “pro-Palestine” industrial complex refuse to engage with complexity around Gaza, Hamas, and Palestinian agency and responsibility, even within the reality of Israel’s overwhelming power advantage. By personalizing their reactions and resorting to insults instead of substance, including my explicit critique of Israeli policies, they are doing exactly what I argue must change. Palestinians and their allies can criticize Israel as much as they want, but fantasies about Israel’s destruction are neither moral nor pragmatic. Most critically, no one holds a monopoly on what counts as a legitimate Palestinian viewpoint. Palestinians are diverse, their opinions are deeply fragmented, and many in Gaza are furious with Hamas’s narratives and actions, a reality ignored by externally based Palestinians and non-Palestinians in the “pro-Palestine” industrial complex. It is time to delegitimize, call out, resist, and dismantle the current “pro-Palestine” movement and build an entirely new apparatus that rejects the hateful, bigoted, racist, homophobic, Jihadi, violent, and antisemitic voices that have become mainstream within this failed environment.

"The actions of these violent extremists are a disgrace and stand in complete contradiction to the values of the State of Israel."
Israel strongly condemns the disgraceful and criminal violence carried out by extremists near Qusra during Shabbat. IDF soldiers and Israel Border Police forces were dispatched to the area and acted to stop the violence. Vehicles suspected of having been used by the rioters were confiscated, and evidence collected at the scene was transferred to the Israel Police as part of the criminal investigation. The actions of these violent extremists are a disgrace and stand in complete contradiction to the values of the State of Israel. Israel will continue to act decisively against such acts and to maintain law and order.

I agree. Weaponizing grief and trying to erase the memory of victims of terror is shameful. Acknowledging Jewish pain shouldn't be treated as a political debate. Standing with you in mourning Shiri Bibas and her children - may their memory be a blessing.
We’re now at the point where Palestinian “activists” in Canada are upset about a single memorial brick in the ground for Shiri Bibas and her children who were murdered by Hamas. Even acknowledging Jewish pain and trauma is offensive now. This is absolutely disgusting.

An important decision by Finland to stop funding Palestinians through UNRWA, choosing instead to route assistance through other channels without reducing the overall level of support and aid. UNRWA is the problem, not the solution.

For many Jews, a sense of insecurity has taken hold across western societies. Hostile demonstrations increasingly control public spaces-from city streets and workplaces to academic institutions-fostering an environment that emboldens hate and incitement.
NYC - a “Free Palestine” cult member, filmed near 42nd St & 2nd Ave, blocks a woman who is simply trying to walk by. After the masked bigot notices she’s wearing a Jewish star, he launches into a vile antisemitic tirade yet NYPD does nothing.
