The flowers 🌺 on my new hibiscus are beautiful - even if they look like they were photoshopped on the plant. They were not!
For those who served and honestly earned the "for valor" distinction, this is insensitive, insulting and infuriating.
Exclusive to @washingtonpost: David Flippo, a Republican congressional candidate in Nevada, inflated his military record multiple times in recent years by claiming he received a Bronze Star “for valor” during his two-decade Air Force career.

Had to share this photo of @howardstutz, left, and @RalstonReports, right, circa 1990.
My tribute to a great journalist and wonderful guy, @howardstutz, retiring this year. He epitomizes what a reporter should be and he has been a wonderful mentor to young reporters @TheNVIndy, showing how this job can be done with hard work, deep sources and impeccable ethics.
As someone who has visited parks all my life, I appreciate this perspective and the need to plan so spots such as Nevada's new state park are preserved for future generations.
OPINION by Trystin St. Denis-Roberts: Nevada is getting a new state park. There’s just one catch: It’s the result of luck and generosity, not deliberate policy.

The refunds come after the utility overcharged thousands of customers.
@NVEnergy has begun issuing more than $63M in refunds, including interest, to multifamily residential customers who were accidentally overcharged. The refunds will come as credits on customers’ next bills. Former customers will receive checks by mail.

Congressional Democrats recently launched an inquiry into whether recipients of Trump's pardons were part of "pay-to-play dynamics."
In response, Nevada Judge Michele Fiore denied "any improper conduct in connection with my pardon" and called the inquiry a "fishing expedition."
This is great news. @calvertphoto has been battling cancer and to know he can throw out the first pitch for the Reno Aces is wonderful. I'll be there in spirit!
Save the date! I’m throwing out the first pitch at 6:30 p.m. if I make it over the plate they’ll probably just leave me out there. I’ve got two or three innings in me.
