12 weeks! How do people not realize that’s … not the kind of chemicals you want next to your skin, the largest organ in your body?!
This is the most troublesome part of this “advocacy” though. This says, whether intended or not, that disagreement is not only unwelcome, it’s not allowed - their mind is closed to any other viewpoint. And it’s being said to the very people who are desperately trying to be heard.
These are all good things. All together, all of these measures would make many places much safer. It would be empowering for most vulnerable people to have a safe enough environment that their safety is truly in their own hands, and depends only on their own choices.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but …
I am tired of hearing this defeatist excuse. Declaring something isn’t feasible because it isn’t popular is ridiculous. It’s also philosophically lazy.
If it’s a violation of human rights in BC, it’s a violation of human rights everywhere in Canada.
If it’s a violation of human rights in healthcare settings, it’s a violation of human rights in all essential spaces - schools, courtrooms, grocery stores, pharmacies, post offices.

I rec'd frustrating reply from @KasariGovender. Her office will post it on petition site, too. I understand it's a tough gig, but we are on our own. Sorry for quality. Scan makes text extraction harder. Alt-Text later.
