Personal update:
I have moved on from The Lippin Group after receiving a crash course in PR and comms from some of the best in the business. I am entering a new phase of my life and career centered on freelance work and passion projects – and spending more time with my family.
There are so many untold stories from women's sports history, and Eden is telling them in her excellent new newsletter.
You don't want to miss this one about Trish Roberts, the first Black woman to play for Pat Summitt at Tennessee ⬇️
Trish Roberts is the most impactful player in Tennessee women's basketball history. So why don't more people know who she is?
“Being an African-American woman, she really paved the way and allowed us to have those opportunities," Tamika Catchings said.

This was cool!
Thank you to @AndrewBucholtz and @awfulannouncing for giving me the opportunity to talk about my transition from sports journalism to PR, my thoughts on the state of women's sports media coverage and my career goals 🙏 awfulannouncing.com/online-o…
Excited to step into a new role with The Lippin Group focused on expanding our sports communications division.
I have learned so much from the team since making the jump into PR after eight years as a sports journalist. Thank you to @Variety for covering!

Geno Auriemma has accomplished everything a coach could dream of. But he’s still searching for more. I went to Storrs and chatted with the @UConnWBB coach:
“I want to win one for this group to remind everybody that UConn is still making history.”

1. Gratifying to have an award exclusively recognizing women's sports journalists
2. This group of journalists deserves the praise
3. Incredibly proud of Eden for her tireless work telling beautiful & impactful stories in the face of many challenges. Her future is so bright 🌟
Thrilled to have been an honorable mention for the Billie Jean King Award for excellence in women’s sports coverage. What an incredible list of journalists!
I’m proud of the work I did at Just Women’s Sports, and I know I have more to offer.

The U.S. Olympic track & field trials start Friday. The last time the Olympics were in Paris, a century ago, things were much different for women in the sport:

This moment has tipped into something toxic and ugly. It’s bad for the game, it’s bad for Clark. And now I’m imploring everyone to do something else entirely: Please stop it. sfgate.com/sports/article/ca…

Stephen A: “what about black men” in response to the plight of black women
Why are these professionals struggling with HOW to respectfully discuss women? These are HUGE platforms this language is being used on!

I just have to imagine that Jaedyn Shaw is haunting Vlatko’s dreams with every USWNT appearance and goal
I remember a time (3 years ago) when we had to fight to get NCAAW in a website's main nav bar during March Madness, let alone the resources and institutional respect to do the job properly.
Shoutout to all women's sports media members who've been thanklessly working toward a moment like this far longer than I have and are not stopping. As we see with poor talk show takes and columns, to name just a couple of examples, there's still so much room to grow.
