There are still way too many ridiculous calls in 5v5.
They changed 2 things about shooting fouls, the hidden shooting foul slider got lowered in every mode (the park settings went from .2 to .1, play now and 5s from .4 to .3) so borderline contact on a block gets called about half as often in the park settings, and now with under 5 seconds on the shot clock or game clock borderline contact pretty much never gets called, before that was only the last 2 seconds
BUT if the game decides the contact is a definite or flagrant foul it still gets called every single time, same as launch, the slider and the clock rule don't even touch those, and the block code and the foul tables didn't change at all
I have always noticed this in game but always thought people barely used the badge that’s why they always get screened when the screen is set right.
Pick Dodger always felt useless to me so I went through the game files and the code to see what it actually does lmao
It does work, it’s half of the defender’s score on every screen (60% on quick screens) and without it you can only ever reach half the max score, even with 99 perimeter D and agility
Example, a 7'0 screener with 85 strength and HOF Brick Wall vs a 6'3 guard with 85 perimeter D, with no Pick Dodger the guard gets screened 55% of the time, Bronze 46%, HOF 41%, Legend 37%, and getting through goes from 19% to 25% at HOF, so Bronze already gets you about 2/3 of what HOF does

Just looked into Two way here are the boosts it gives you
Offense gets you +50 Close Shot, +50 Post Control, +50 Pass Accuracy, +20 Driving Layup, +20 Mid Range, +20 Three Point, +20 Ball Handle, +25 Speed With Ball, +20 Offensive Rebound and +99 Free Throw
Defense gets you +30 Interior D, +30 Perimeter D, +40 Block, +20 Steal and +20 Defensive Rebound
Both sides also get +25 Speed, +40 Agility, +40 Strength and +25 Vertical

This has always been a thing. In no 2k you would ever see comp players use strength on a PG. it changes the body type and how responsive the player feels.

Checked Challenger in the game files aswell, 2K didn't touch it in 2.0 or the 10/20 patch, same numbers and same code as before
Here's what it actually does: on any shot from 10 ft or further out, if you're within 6 ft of the shooter straight in front of him (that shrinks to 4 ft the more you're off to the side, up to 70 degrees), your contest on that shot gets multiplied by 1.05 on Bronze, 1.10 Silver, 1.15 Gold, 1.20 HOF and 1.25 on Legend
So it's 5% to 25% more contest from you, it does nothing on shots inside 10 ft and it can't save a late closeout, it only boosts the contest you already have
Btw the one thing 2.0 did change right next to it: shooting badges now check if your shot is a 2 or a 3 from the shot itself. Before 2.0 a long 2 within half a foot inside the line still counted as a 3 for Set and Fire and Arc Cadence, now it doesn't

So I went through the steal code after the double team stuff and the steal rating math was literally backwards since launch lmao, the best stealers were getting the number meant for the worst stealers. That's the 9/17 bug where low rated defenders were getting on ball steals, 2K patched around it on their end 9/22 by swapping the two numbers and v2.0 finally fixed the actual code. Mind you it barely changes anything from season 1, weak stealers went from 0.9 ft to 1 ft
What's actually new in v2.0 is Unpluckable and Glove. When your hand gets to the ball it only pops loose if the ball is far enough from the dribbler, and now Unpluckable pushes that out by tier:
Bronze 1.2 inches
Silver 2.2
Gold 3.1
HOF 4.1
Legend 5
Glove on the defender takes away the same amount, so if ya'll are going at CPU guys with Unpluckable you want Glove on #NBA2K27

NBA 2K27 definitely nerfed how strong double teams are. Before this season and patch, I used to be able to double team the computer effortlessly and get that ball quickly.
It ain't happening no more. I don't remember that being in the patch notes though. Y'all let me know if y'all noticed the L1 double teams not being as effective
My day 1 PG/SG build is the best Ray Allen GOAT build replica, where you get to choose your own jumpshot & animations in #NBA2k27
You can play solid defence with this build and you are able to capbreak steal all the way to 90 if you wanted to. I am currently capbreaking Interior then will do block.
Questions need to be asked about donnarumma, his downfall needs to be studied.
