@HatStackMike

I talk about video games, and wear a stack of hats. Check out my YouTube channel! I cover lots of retro SEGA/Nintendo games and hardware, among other things.

Anyone else going as Pumpkin Hill from Sonic Adventure 2 for Halloween this year or just me? 🎃⛰️ The costume has a treasure hunting minigame where you can move Knuckles across the “level” and the radar necklace will blink as you get closer to the hidden emerald in the pockets💎

In a few weeks time, I'll reveal whether these are indeed... different games.

I still don’t get why they renamed Sonic & Tails to Sonic Chaos. Don’t get me wrong, Sonic Chaos is a cool name and it’s what I grew up with. It just seemed unnecessary, especially considering Sonic & Knuckles was released the following year, so they had kind of a theme going on.

NEW VIDEO! ▶️ youtu.be/UUGbzYQdfBo The early Sonic games have many differences between their releases in different regions, and I'll be looking at some of those differences between the Japanese and western releases of Sonic games. Hope you enjoy! #Sonic #SonicTheHedgehog

The much maligned Sega 32X. An expensive add on with a small library but there are great games there! Virtua Fighter was a really decent port and quite impressive for the hardware.

No series demonstrated the pace of 3D technology like Virtua Fighter. Each game launching alongside new iterations of Sega's Model 1, 2 and 3 boards, setting a new technical standard in rapid succession. - 1993 - - 1994 - - 1996 -

SUPER SONIC TRIVIA: In the 2007 video game ‘Sonic and the Secret Rings’, you can see a crucial programming mistake by the silly developers. The rings are right out in the open for Sonic to collect, and not secret at all.

Wow! I forgot about this picture! Early promotional art for Ocarina of Time, probly saw it in Nintendo Power back then. Might even be from when it was Zelda 64, but I see the ocarina. I was insanely hyped back then and here I am once again hyped for Ocarina of Time to come out!

September 14th, 1993. The day Cammy introduced herself to us in the new game: “Super Street Fighter II: the New Challengers.” Fei long, T Hawk, and Deejay also made an appearance but Cammy holds a special place in my heart, she changed my main from Ryu to her for a while.#Cammy

If I had a time machine I’d show this Switch 2 menu to a Nintendo fan in 1993. Bonus points if it’s Howard Lincoln.

NEW VIDEO! ▶️ youtu.be/I7mwB_FLarM I'll be covering every single Sonic game released for the SEGA Game Gear, and ranking them. I grew up with this system and it holds a special place in my heart, so a lot of these games are quite special to me. Others, though... not so much.
