Learning from the @HeadStartFM programme has already been embedded in city services like Wolverhampton’s Youth Engagement Strategy (#YES) and #YoWolves, which aims to give young people in the city more opportunities and support with their mental health.

Sharing their stories of the @HeadStartFM programme were representatives of Changing Our Lives @Positive_Lives.

The @HeadStartFM programme primarily supported children, young people & families in four areas of the city; Low Hill, Bushbury and The Scotlands; Blakenhall, All Saints, Parkfields and Ettingshall; Heath Town, Park Village, Eastfield, Springfield and Old Heath; and Bilston East.

HeadStart Wolverhampton – Our Journey celebrates the Headstart Wolverhampton journey, and the legacy that it leaves behind. The event is featuring showcases from some of the participants, including @MoretonSchool & @x2yLGBT.

Chris Allen from @wv10consortium has been speaking about his organisation's role in the @HeadStartFM programme, which has supported the mental health and emotional wellbeing of 10 to 16-year-olds in Wolverhampton.

HeadStart Wolverhampton – Our Journey celebrates the @HeadStartFM Wolverhampton journey, and the legacy that it leaves behind. The event is featuring showcases from some of the participants, including Luke Tyler speaking about the work of @YMCA_BC.

Members of @GazeboTheatre have been setting the scene @HeadStartFM - Our Journey event this morning with a special performance.

Well over 13,000 young people in the city accessed @HeadStartFM support over the six year programme, along with over 700 parents and guardians. A total of 75 community organisations were involved in the design and delivery of the programme.

Jessica Deighton, from the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families @AFNCCF, has given a keynote speech at the @HeadStartFM event this morning.

Launched thanks to funding from @TNLComFund, @HeadStartFM used a ‘test & learn’ approach to support 10 to 16-year-olds & worked with community providers, services and schools to engage with youngsters and give them the skills they need to cope with the challenges of modern life.
