Let's start with crows. Crows seem to be able to build nests with anti-bird spikes! The spikes point inwards so they do not harm the bird. @HetNatuurhist in Rotterdam recently collected such a crow nest and you can see it in their museum!

I don't work with RegEx often, but when I do, tools like regex101.com/ are indispensable.

someone defended firing 88% of the staff in a message that said "it's just DevOps." Oh, you sweet summer child.

I just want to know what I am signing up for (besides pain).
(Side note: Being left solely to put out fired and keep services running isn’t exactly what I dream of doing as an engineer)

To be clear I love hard work, I do well with chaos, but I like doing it with people I like, for a mission I care about and ideally with significant upside potential (financial or otherwise) to balance downside risk.

First up, we have a webinar coming up on Thursday, October 27.
How do we stay on top of tech upgrades? I’ve often seen a company stick with an old product version 20 years because the upgrade would be too onerous.

I would stop at PowerShell is essential. For automation, migration, exporting data to csv... The list goes on.

Next week, @KenpoDBA is presenting "What DBAs should learn after T-SQL"
I'm genuinely interested in this month's webinar, because I tend to focus on T-SQL and PowerShell.
But, C#? HTML? I'll be interested in hearing what Sean has to say!
