Stopped at Vintage Flying Museum after work yesterday… Caught the Goose starting up and watched it leave.
There was a B-52 in the pattern at the local base today. I just so happened to have been in that part of town, so I set up and got some pics and video.
youtu.be/xoisoyTEqJc?si=qmRK… A bit of fun in DCS World for the day. I hope y'all enjoy!
Fouga CM-170 Magister, a French two-seat twin-engine jet trainer. This example belongs to a private outfit in Fort Worth.
I would love to fly this aircraft. It looks like a lot of fun.
Some other aircraft that were flying at the Rose City Airfest, including 3 F/A-18C Hornets, a TA-4 Skyhawk, a C-17 Globemaster III, and a team of kit planes performing formation flybys:
A few shots of the Viper Demo Team F-16, flown by “FEMA”, performing at the Rose City Airfest in Tyler, Texas.
Cessna 172. This particular plane and I have a bit of history. Back in 2014, after a several years long hiatus from actually flying, I took a “rediscovery” flight in 87G, flying around the Eagle Mountain Lake area before landing back at KFTW.
One of VMGR-234s KC-130J Hercules tankers made an overnight stop at Meacham. Caught him heading out this morning.

Getting some practice in, just in case the Super Connie decides to throw a curveball at me when I do my audio-visual redo episode soon....
Attended the 2026 Big Band Hangar Dance at the Vintage Flying Museum, as I have done for at least 8 of the last 14 years. The DC-3 “Southern Cross” was the centerpiece of the event this year.
Didn’t take too many pictures, but I did manage this black and white shot of the DC-3.
