It was an honor to be there too. Much more to come soon!
Last night, I was proud to participate in the Houston Religious Freedom Roundtable, hosted by the Texas House Religious Freedom Caucus. Now, more than ever, it's important for us to come together with our friends and neighbors around our state and recognize that there is far more that unites us than divides us. Thank you to Rep. @SalmanBhojaniTX for chairing the caucus and Comm. @RodneyEllis for hosting!

Governor Abbott's appointment of GOP nominee Don Huffines as Comptroller before the midterm election - and election denier and Christian crusader Nate Schatzline to oversee that election - are a giant middle finger to Texas voters. More: tinyurl.com/yvz83x8r

We can’t stress enough how wrong and regressive this is. 1A is clear on this point. Vote all of them out.

I love Ossoff. I don’t even mind the religious references here. But let’s be clear: The problem with Trump isn’t that he’s “faithless.” It’s that he uses Christianity to convince his base to treat HIM as God, and white evangelicals can’t see past the grift.
Ossoff: We see a faithless president, self-dealing, while he depicts himself as Christ, while he depicts the Obamas as apes, while he plunges the nation recklessly into war, plunders our health care, and sends prices soaring.  And while the people pay more than ever for groceries and housing and health care, he builds a monument to himself.  While a cancer patient loses health coverage, he adorns his office in gold.  Voting rights laws are dismantled, prisons for immigrants are full of children, and all the while we see this wickedness advanced and defended by those who wrap themselves in the banner of righteous faith.  But we ask, where in Scripture are we commanded to deny care to the sick, to take from those with the least to give to those with the most, to violate the house of worship to hunt down the refuge

What is Ken Paxton hiding this time? @jamestalarico demands the release of files related to an admitted child molestor who served less than a month after Paxton's office intervened in his case. Podcast: tinyurl.com/yvz83x8r texastribune.org/2026/06/18/…

If you’re someone who takes joy in other people being upset, it’s because you’re deeply broken on the inside.
Gutfeld on Josh Hokit: We enjoy it when you’re upset. That guy is a troll. We get it. It's not our fault that you don’t.

Texas infrastructure needs an experienced mechanical engineer who understands how our energy systems actually function, not an internet troll focused on toxic rhetoric. My plan for the Railroad Commission is focused on consensus, enforcing our existing safety standards, and ensuring our energy grid can withstand severe weather shocks.

We need to be clear about what is happening in this photo. Rick Scarborough, former Southern Baptist pastor, got on stage at the Texas Republican Convention and told state DELEGATE Mohamed Hussein to convert to Christianity or leave the country. He was so upset that he cried. It was then and only then that Rick felt guilty, so he sat down and pretended to pray for him. The only evil we need to expel from this state are the people who don’t believe in the CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED RIGHT of freedom of religion. 📷 Manoo Sirivelu for @TexasTribune
🚨 BREAKING: The Texas Republican Party is now turning away Republican muslims. “There’s no place in America for you."

Another example of my opponent's proud racism and obsession with toxic division, meanwhile, the critical agency he wants to run is failing regular Texas families. The Texas Railroad Commission regulates our state's vital energy infrastructure. It's a job that requires data, safety management, and engineering expertise. It should never be used as a playground for religious bigotry or an online culture war. Hate will not winterize a natural gas system , and xenophobia will not lower your monthly utility bills. Texas deserves a professional mechanical engineer focused on lowering costs and securing our grid, not a political provocateur trying to tear our communities apart.
