I don't dislike Ludwig or anything, but this is identical to Sheeran saying he "supports in private without getting political to his fans" The influence IS the power an influencer has because it shifts discourse. Most of what Hasan has done for the past three years is nonstop vocal support, not just donating. When a random non-politics creator like Tubbo speaks up and says "Free Palestine", that is so much more valuable than him donating money. Everything here is a battle of public opinion and changing minds, and it takes a lot more courage to do that when it's unpopular I get the impulse to convince yourself that "just supporting in words only" is not "putting your money where your mouth is," but it is. It's putting your reputation on the line. It's standing ten toes down on your belief and challenging the million people who watch you to change theirs. You don't even have to constantly discuss it, just making your position clear once is very valuable. I'm glad he's vocal about it now and I'm glad three years in so many people are brave enough to say it because the fight still isn't over. Nothing's really changed yet. Putting down others who were braver before you as just "saying the woke trend" isn't right though. "Actions speak louder than words" is a fine sentiment, but not when you refuse to say the words. Even at the end of this clip, he says "I'd be down to influence others opinions. Like for instance there's a midterm in 48 days, I think everyone should vote" Vote for who? Just vote? That's the opinion you've influenced? I doubt you'll lose a sponsor for saying "Pro-Palestine Democrats", but the fact you stop yourself is the reflection needed and why people are criticizing.
