Specifically, lending activity on Morpho grew 24.73% in 30 days, with 13.13 million FXRP deposited as collateral, up 23.98% over the same period.

The user doesn't need to hold $FLR. The transaction still funds it.
When Smart Accounts are used, part of the XRP pays the executor. That executor spends FLR on the 20x base fee and the FDC request. The minting fee and 90% of the FDC fee route to FIRE.
The Flare Income Reinvestment Entity (FIRE)'s mandate is to reduce FLR supply through buybacks and burns. FSA is a way the fees land there without holders needing to hold FLR.

Indeed the FCC white paper is impressive. There is so much more that Flare can do than what exists within the community narrative. It’s not just programmability for non smart contract coins. In fact this may be the smallest thing that Flare can do (don’t worry we are still launching FBTC).

The fundamental reason I got into crypto is because I’ve long been convinced that the combination of:
- Unsustainable debt
- Aging population
- Higher energy prices
- Vast low skilled migration 5-10 years before widespread automation
- Ineffectual and short term oriented political structures
Would end up with the collapse of the middle class and the complete diminishment of much of the West (ex the US).
It’s now clear that the transition to chaos and third world living standards is happening across much of Western Europe.
Crypto as an asset class has always been the primary escape valve and is woefully undervalued.
