Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Salisbury District Hospital to meet the teams working across the hospital's pathology service, including histology, microbiology, chemistry and haematology.
The visit was a fascinating insight into the essential role that the team plays in diagnosis, treatment and patient care. From cancer screening to infection control and emergency transfusion, the scale of the work being carried out every day is remarkable.
It was great to hear about the vital work of @IBMScience members - numbering over 20,000 nationwide - and their contribution to disease diagnosis & scientific research here in #Salisbury and across the UK.
