It was a pleasure to attend the Long Nights of Interculturality panel discussion, “Belonging Across Borders: Culture, Identity, and Peacebuilding,” in Vienna on September 21. I appreciated the opportunity to join an inspiring conversation on how culture, identity, and intercultural dialogue can help build bridges across borders and contribute to more peaceful and inclusive societies. My sincere thanks to the International Cultural Diversity Organisation (ICDO) and the organisers for bringing together such an engaging group of experts and practitioners. It was a meaningful evening of dialogue, reflection, and exchange. Photo credit: ICDO

My message to leaders at the #COP30 Climate Conference: We can choose to lead – or be led to ruin. Choose speed, scale & solidarity. Choose to make this the turning point. Stand with science. Stand for justice & future generations.

For Afghan women, Nowruz has always been a moment of visibility, preparing samanak, singing, gathering in shared spaces. Now, even these traditions are under threat. But women continue to resist, keeping Nowruz alive." @BakhtariManizha #Nowruz
