Despite decades of progress, our global food system is under immense strain & hunger remains unacceptably high.
Food is a fundamental human right.
Let’s turn shared commitments into action & deliver sustainable, healthy & equitable food systems for all.
Indonesia is the world’s 6th largest contributor to @UNPeacekeeping missions.
In some of the world’s most dangerous settings, @UN Peacekepeers deescalate tensions, oversee aid delivery, protect civilians & create space for political solutions & peace.
I salute them for all they do for peace — the most important cause of all.
Indonesia is a pillar of multilateralism, a home of enormous cultural diversity, an emerging economy of growing influence, a political & diplomatic bridge-builder — regionally, globally & at the @UN, and a voice of peace.
It’s a pleasure to be back in Indonesia.
Poverty is an affront to human dignity & a denial of human rights.
We must eradicate poverty & confront the inequalities & injustices that perpetuate it.

Despite progress, the war on nature has not yet ended.
The impacts of the triple planetary crisis of pollution, biodiversity loss & climate chaos affect everyone, everywhere.
It’s time to ask ourselves: Are we doing enough?
We need more action, speed & will.
One of my greatest priorities as @UN Secretary-General has been fighting the triple planetary crisis of biodiversity loss, pollution & climate change, because I have children & grandchildren that are counting on world leaders to be leaders for nature.
Let’s act with urgency for our children, for our future & for all life on Earth.

It doesn’t have to be this way.
At the #COP17 Biodiversity Conference, I urged leaders to make peace with nature.
Food is a basic human right.

We have the knowledge, technology & capacity to feed the world. It’s time to use it.
Let’s ensure that every person, everywhere, has access to safe, nutritious & affordable food.

I am heartbroken by the news that more than hundred migrants drowned off the coast of Djibouti, with many still missing.
This is unacceptable.
Every person searching for a better life deserves safety & dignity. We must ensure safe & legal pathways to prevent further loss of life.
1 in 5 girls worldwide is married before the age of 18.
Child marriage compromises the education, health & safety of millions of girls across the globe.
Together, let's defend the right of all girls to a childhood & end child marriage once & for all.
I am deeply shocked by & strongly condemn Saturday’s lethal attack by the Houthis on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which reportedly killed 12 people & injured hundreds of civilians.
Attacks on civilians & civilian infrastructure are a violation of international law. These attacks must cease immediately.
