As much as I hate these guys, I would totally prefer if DnD was closer to actual medieval society. Modern take on Forgotten Realms from 5e is rather stale and reeks of people lazily interposing contemporary stuff over somewhat old-timey setting. Now compare it to, say, Riftwar.
