Whenever someone gives you grief for not voting, just say what I always say. "You hate Trump because you think he's a fascist. I hate him because I know he isn't." They'll probably leave you alone after that.

Hot take I may have posted already. Voting should be an inconvenient hassle. You should care enough to go through some degree of misery and discomfort for your vote to count. I don't really like the idea of my life being affected by people who succumb to peer-pressure social media posts voting based on whims and vibes. Like, it should be a more difficult process for everyone. Everyone should have the right to do it. It should just suck way more than it already does. Like, I'm not just talking about Voter ID. I'm talking about requiring 3 forms of ID, decided at random, so you have to go back home and get the right information. I'm talking about playing the same shitty song in the voting area over and over and over again, just a little too loud. No A/C. No heat. No restrooms. Someone constantly reheating their fish leftovers in the mircowave. If you can get through that and still cast your vote, you are a true patriot.

I've mentioned before how a lot of letters sound exactly the same over the phone, and you should always read them with associated words to make sure the person understands ("f as in foxtrot, s as in sierra", etc). Another thing that people don't realize is that "-teen" sounds identical to "-ty" (as in 13 and 30 sound the same, 14 and 40, etc.) This is why you should always read numbers as individual digits over the phone for that reason ("one three" instead of "thirteen", and "three zero" instead of "thirty"). It makes everyone's lives easier.

It kind of makes sense that Hila and Ethan's separation date aligns with Tamara's birthday. Hila's initial statement said that her prior suspicions were confirmed when she caught Ethan in a lie. It would make sense that there would be increased communication with a mistress on her birthday, meaning more evidence to potentially be found left behind by someone getting sloppy and more comfortable in a long-term affair. I don't think it's a weird coincidence at all.

Went ahead and pre-ordered Ocarina of Time Remake. So far everything I own on Switch 2 is nostalgia bait. I am fine with this.

Most of the guys I know who look like this have a wife, kids, and own their own home. I don't think they give a single fuck what anyone thinks.
Men, we don’t like this

Tell my female friend about my health issues. She suggests I get healing crystals and do guided meditation. Yeah see this is why we can't let any of you ever be President.

God I can't wait for election season to be over. This show fucking sucks. But fr since I moved to a new state, I'm getting double the phone spam I normally would. It feels like I'm battling a hydra. Type STOP to one text, and two texts grow in its place. I'm voting for the Kraken.

I think the thing that rubs me the wrong way about "modern D&D" (or modern media in general) is what I call the "Mom said you have to let me play too" effect. Let's say I'm 7, and me and my buddies Billy and Tommy all want to play with our G.I. Joes. Between the 3 of us, we have a pretty good collection of figures, vehicles, and playsets, and we think it would be super cool to play out an epic Joes vs Cobra war. My friends come over, we get everything set up, and we're having a blast. My little sister Sally sees how much fun we're having and gets jealous. She wants to play too. I say "No" because she doesn't have any G.I. Joe toys and doesn't watch the cartoon. So she gets upset and goes and cries to Mom. Mom doesn't want to have to deal with Sally crying, so she says we have to let her play too and share our toys. We want to keep playing and not get in trouble, so we say fine and give her a selection of G.I. Joe toys to choose from. She doesn't want to be a G.I. Joe. She wants to be a My Little Pony. Again I say no, and again she cries to Mom. Mom doesn't care or understand how big of a deal this is to us, so she puts her foot down. We let her play with her pony, or everyone has to go home. Again we say "Fine..." and just deal with it. The whole time, she doesn't want to play war. She wants to make friends with Cobra and play house with Cobra Commander. We tell her that makes her one of the bad guys, and again she cries and goes to Mom. Now we have to change the rules of the game. It's annoying, but ultimately not a huge deal, but we eventually wrap it up and make plans to try again next weekend. Next weekend comes, and we get everything set up, but now Sally brought two of her friends to play too. One is The Little Mermaid and the other is Rainbow Brite. It's like last time only much farther away from the initial G.I. Joe war we wanted to play. Billy gets fed up and says he's not coming next weekend. Now we're outnumbered, and it's not even anything close to G.I. Joe anymore. We decide that if we want this to happen, it needs to be in secret, so we decide to plan a sleepover at Billy's house next weekend where we can play in his room. However Billy's little sister is jealous he gets to have friends over, so his mom invites Sally and her friends to stay the night as well. We lock ourselves in Billy's room, but the girls hear us laughing and having a great time, and they get upset. We tell them to go play what they want to play in the girls' room, but then they go tell Billy's mom that we HATE girls. We don't hate girls. If the girls would just play G.I. Joe the way we wanted to play all along, they would be more than welcome, even if we were hesitant at first (which as how things usually play out, rightfully so). The problem is they want to invade our space, tell us how we're playing is wrong, and change the entire game. Then Mom (society) takes their side. This is the frustration. You can be any kind of person and sit at my D&D table, but we're playing DUNGEONS AND FUCKING DRAGONS. There will be violence in this game. You can not be anything your imagination can come up with, you can choose from what's in the book we have, because we want the world we chose to play in to be set a defined world. You can absolutely go play your game in your room, but when you come into my room, run my friends off and alter the game entirely, we are probably going to say some mean things about "girls" that we don't really mean. We just want to be left alone and allowed to play the game we want.
