For the films to work, Morrible initially needs to appear to Elphaba and us the audience as an approachable and caring figure (she reminded me of a supportive teacher I had in high school), but also drop that kind veneer and sell her truly evil intentions.
Michelle Yeoh got a lot of guff for her performance as Madame Morrible in the “Wicked” films, but outside of her lack of singing ability (which the movies work around), I think her performance is excellent.

You can say this reaction is dramatic but I’ve been checking my phone and being on here or elsewhere much less lately because of this. I’m so sick of being surrounded by AI. I’m sick of it being every other video, thumbnails for everything, in every ad. It’s miserable.

Call me biased, but this is what I'll always support. No amount of AI will replicate the artistry and heart of animation.
"Wildwood" took nearly 15 years to make, with 231 puppets and 136 sets, making it the longest stop motion film ever made.

Eric Bauza posted this the day the Skydance merger closed. It seemed to be his subtle way of reminding us that no matter whose name is on the logo, the creative legacy of Warner Bros. will not die. It’s thanks to people like him that it hasn’t.

almost all of my students were talking about wildwood today - only a handful had already seen it, but the rest were saying they want to after hearing more about it - and i’m hoping against hope it’s gonna be a slow burn word-of-mouth success story
CLAYFACE and WILDWOOD overperformed Sunday projections. CLAYFACE opened to $46M worldwide, $3M more than yesterday and will soon overtake SUPERGIRL ($126M). While WILDWOOD recorded one of Laika’s biggest domestic debuts ever, with $12.3M!

Eric Bauza was a unique voice talent who brought joy and laughter to millions around the world. During his 15 years at Warner Bros. Animation, he was the voice of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck among countless other characters. He followed in the footsteps of giants like Mel Blanc. Eric said that carrying on the legendary legacy of the Looney Tunes was among the greatest honors of his life. In addition to his incredible talent, Eric was a treasured part of our animation family. Our hearts go out to his loved ones. -Channing Dungey (Chairman, Warner Bros. Television Group and US Networks) and Bill Damaschke (President & Chief Creative Officer, Warner Bros. Pictures Animation)

He fought so goddamn hard for this movie. I’m glad he got to see it before he went.

"We want GOOD original movies" Wildwood is one of the best animated films of the decade "There wasn't any marketing" Had more views than doomsday just admit that you guys are filled with excuses and only want to be performative when it comes to supporting original films
‘Wildwood’ had the year’s most-watched trailers, reaching 90M views and surpassing ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ The film opened to $11M at the domestic box office.
