I am so sick of the media's approach to the mental health report out today. My brother was diagnosed with dyslexia aged 30 & with support got a degree after leaving school with nothing. He was diagnosed with ADHD aged 55. If he'd had support at school what could he have achieved

My friend nearly died giving birth at Kings College Hospital during a traumatic birth a few days ago. Labour for 30 hours, lost over 4 litres of blood. Her baby’s face left cut and badly swollen (still not sure if his vision in one eye has been permanently damaged). She was cut open and has been distraught. She said she had been in agony but it was dismissed with one staff member saying ‘it can’t be that bad’. I can’t tell you how angry I am at how her and her family were treated.

. @alexhornbyrail Cc @railandroad Thankfully you weren’t seriously injured having to leap out of your chair on a moving train to pull alarm Did @northernassist at Leeds tell them you were on? Did guard walk through the carriage and appears to ignore wheelchair space alarm?
Failed Assistance - @northernassist, having put me on the train at Leeds, failed to get me off at my destination Harrogate, Then ignored the wheelchair space emergency alarm. The train was departing and I had to stand up and pull the red emergency alarm to get off.

🏥 Leaving hospital should feel safe, clear and properly planned — but we know this isn’t always people’s experience. If you or a loved one has been admitted to hospital in the last 12 months

.@sainsburys I’ve now spoken to your Store Manager three times over four weeks about the inaccessibility of these checkouts and how, as a wheelchair user, I feel discriminated against. Today, the response was simply a shrug of the shoulders.

Inclusion and accessibility are not optional. Disabled customers have a right to access your services equitably and independently. If Sainsbury’s continues to treat Disabled customers inequitably after barriers have repeatedly been brought to your attention, you must be prepared
