UPI payments now accepted for online bookings at Burj Khalifa, Resorts World Sentosa Indian travellers can now use UPI apps to book tickets online for major attractions in the UAE and Singapore. 🔹 UAE: NIPL (NPCI International) has partnered with NEOPAY and Emaar Entertainment. At the Top, Burj Khalifa is the first UAE attraction to implement UPI for e-commerce transactions. 🔹 Singapore: NIPL has collaborated with FOMO Pay to extend UPI acceptance to Resorts World Sentosa, covering Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Oceanarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark. UPI is now accepted in 10 countries, including Singapore, the UAE, France, Mauritius, Nepal, Bhutan, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Greece. Uzbekistan is expected to be the 11th. 🇮🇳🇬🇪 Cultural Celebrations at Tbilisi and Chokhatauri Indian classical art and Georgian traditional dances became a language of dialogue between India and Georgia during two cultural evenings organized by the Embassy of India in Georgia with the NGO Cultural Diversity for Peaceful Future (NGOCDPF). 🎭 October 23, Tbilisi, Rustaveli National Theatre About 150 guests attended, including Georgian officials, diplomats, media, business and academic representatives, students and members of the Indian diaspora. The Trikaaya Dance Foundation, representing the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), presented two classical traditions: Bharatanatyam from Tamil Nadu and Mayurbhanj Chhau from Odisha. 💃 October 24, Chokhatauri Cultural Centre, Guria More than 300 people attended, including representatives of the Guria regional administration, municipal authorities and the organization Women for Women Georgia. Young dancers from the Georgian ensembles Rcheuli and Ilekro performed traditional Georgian dances. The Indian artists presented a fusion of Bharatanatyam and Mayurbhanj Chhau, and joint Georgian-Indian performances were a highlight of the evening. Pathway from Georgian Chidaoba to Indian Akhara Vladimir “Lado” Mestvirishvili, a Georgian freestyle wrestling coach, arrived in India in 2003. He spent nearly two decades working with Indian wrestlers and helped shape a generation of champions. He mentored Olympic medallists viz. Sushil Kumar, Yogeshwar Dutt, Bajrang Punia and Ravi Dahiya. 🏅 In 2026, India posthumously awarded him the Padma Shri, its fourth-highest civilian honour. He is the first foreign coach ever to receive a Padma award.
