Picture this: you’re shopping in Asda/Tesco/Waitrose and the cashier goes “we’ll take £30 off your shopping for you” are you gonna say “no thank you it’s fine”. It might not be anything to you but to someone with less, that’s a blessing.
We gotta be honest £30 ain't moving the needle in 2026. 2010 maybe.

West African diasporic familial hierarchy alive and well fr fr It’s fascinating how powerful these cultural technologies still are
Damon Wayans says that even at 65 years old, if Keenen tells him to get him a soda, he's going to go get it, because in their family, it’s all about an unspoken code of respect, seniority, and brotherly hierarchy. “Yeah, but like even now, this is how my family is. Like, I'm 65 years old and Keenen goes, "Go get me a soda," and I got to go get it.” “If Marlon walks in a room, and you know, if I walk in a room and there's no seats, Marlon gets up. Sean and Keenen will sit, and Marlon will get up and say, "You sit here." And my son will have to do the same thing.” “That's why I love the fact that they have children. Because I go to my theater sometimes and little Damon's there and Mikey's there, and as soon as I walk in the room, the youngest one gets up and lets me sit down without question, and I love that.” “It's just how we do with each other. It's just a quiet code. Some things you don't have to teach, it's just what you see.”

I don't think he has anything against him. He's just not gonna put a dude who came out after him, and never got as big as him, above dudes he looked up to like Pryor and Redd Foxx. You gotta look at it through his eyes, and not the eyes of a fan. Bernie is not his peer.
What does Eddie have against Bernie Mac? That video was nearly cringe to look at

Artist go and create physical copies of all your work old and new keep some for yourself and sell the rest. Actors do the same if it’s for personal use create specials keep them in your archives.

Founded in Notting Hill 1968, the British Black Panthers brought Black Power to Britain. Obi Egbuna helped establish the movement, alongside activists Darcus Howe, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Olive Morris & Altheia Jones-LeCointe. They challenged racism, police brutality & inequality.

Rooted in patriarchy and so, I reject it. Why should I place myself in harm’s way just because I am a man? I am loved by my family and friends. I matter. My life and wellbeing are valuable to me and my community.
It’s a shame how many men don’t know about the sidewalk rule For context: The sidewalk rule is an etiquette rule where a man walks closest to the road while the woman walks on the inside, as a gesture of protection from passing vehicles, splashes and other potential dangers

Like 💀💀all these supermarkets give you broadly the same experience but in different fonts, people see so ridiculous !
Subtle classism happening here. People think they’re above a supermarket, even though you can buy name brands there loool. But are we surprised? If it’s not M&S, they don’t wanna hear it 👍🏼

I understand this whole convo but what is interesting is that it’s all based on a lie! I was at the show yesterday, I walked around the whole arena to feel the vibe and people were having a TIME! Don’t let people gaslight you into proving your so called ‘congoleseness’
We actually speak Lingala well in comparison to our European counterparts, the only group on par with us is Congolese Germans and that's because our parents could not speak English or German when they moved so they spoke to us in Lingala alot.
