This is well done. It’s filmed in a way that’s given players the confidence to take their time and pronounce their name clearly. Take special note of Hopoate. Often the names you’ve been hearing for generations are the hardest to correct, but this is how it is pronounced
Our 2024 NRL squad have provided all fans and media with the correct pronunciation of their names as well as their junior clubs for the 2024 season.

Thanks to @JessMacartney24 and @IngoaProject for your input into this story. Following Multicultural Round we all have an opportunity to work on our pronunciation of player names.

"That's how ___ is asking for it to be pronounced now."
No. That's how it's ALWAYS been pronounced. You've just never bothered to double check and have been content in saying it wrong for years.

Hey @PenrithPanthers fans (and fans of pronunciation). We’re going with the Sāmoan pronunciation of Izack’s surname Tāgo from here. Doesn’t need a press release, or media moment. Just needs to be said 😊

It’s hard isn’t it Glen! I’ve been doing the wonderful @IngoaProject course over recent weeks and cannot recommend it enough in terms of building blocks for learning pronounciation.
