In September, New York Governor Kathy Hochul signed a law aim squarely at the Freedom Foundation’s work informing public employees of their rights.
Here’s what you need to know ⬇️
Freedom Foundation’s outreach has helped drive one of the largest declines in union membership in U.S. history. Some 300,000 people in the last six years have canceled their union membership, and the number keeps growing.
Now New York lawmakers want to stop workers from hearing about their rights. We're fighting back in court. Follow along for updates on our lawsuit, and know that we'll keep reaching workers across the country so they can make informed decisions about union membership.
"We have concerns about use of union dues, potential restrictions on scheduling flexibility, and the division that could develop between coworkers and hospital leadership. We want people to do their research and see that CNA donates millions of dollars to political organizations that don’t have any direct connection to our community..."Opposing the union does not mean opposing better working conditions. It means believing there is another way forward."

95% of Employees Under Union Contracts Never Voted for IT!
Though 95 percent of currently unionized workers have never voted for the union that represents them, union bosses have generally felt the need to pay lip service to the idea that, at least at one point in the past, a majority of workers expressed a preference for union affiliation. No longer.
Today, just around one in 10 workers are unionized. A Gallup poll shows the vast majority of non-union workers are “not interested at all” in joining a labor union.

Idaho just stopped using the state as a debt collector for the teachers' union, which means more money stays in teachers’ paychecks and less flows into the big union machine.
Another successful Freedom Foundation endeavor has resulted in taxpayer funding being but from teachers’ unions in Idaho.
After House Bill 516 took effect on July 1, the Idaho Education Association (IEA) was forced to re-evaluate their budget now that the state will no longer operate as a debt-collector and will be cutting about 13% of its staff and closing all regional offices outside of Boise.
Another win for protecting teachers’ paychecks and stopping the taxpayer slush fund into unions. 🔥
Op-ed: But the program would create competition with Connecticut’s “public schools,” the euphemism for schools controlled by teacher unions. That is, the schools subject to the state law requiring binding arbitration for teacher union contracts, the state law prohibiting municipalities from reducing school budgets, and the state law prohibiting disclosure of teacher evaluations.

Big Apple delivery drivers are demanding a sitdown with supposed Mayor Zogran Mamdani over his plans to ban Amazon from hiring them as third-party contractors — but they say City Hall has snubbed them, even as experts warned the bill could leave thousands unemployed.
“We have reached out to the mayor’s office. We have not received anything so far,” said delivery worker Kris Basmagy at a rally opposing supposed “man of the people” Mamdani’s “Delivery Protection Act” outside City Hall Thursday.

"This fiscal train wreck - you could see it coming from a mile off," Izumi told @TheCenterSquare. "One of the big reasons why L.A. is in such bad shape right now is because they agreed to a massive union contract with the teachers that they simply couldn't afford. The board did not look at its funding sources and its potential spending cuts that it would have to do in order to afford the teacher union contract that it was about to sign." @PacificResearch
