I am lowkey a bit sad that the nyonya Kebaya has more recognition (thanks tho 🇲🇾🇸🇬) than the Javanese Kebaya 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩 (im not usually patriotic) + I make some details about sundanese/melayu from various islands/balinese/creole kebayas later so you can diff. them from one another.

mildly fascinated how many language use the word 'fruit' to mean 'result'. latin fructus, english fruit (fruit of his labour etc), german frucht, sanskrit phala, chinese & japanese 果, ... (tbf only the latin and sanskrit ones seem to be independent here?)

I don’t really like the idea that Yoshiki’s family forgetting him is a metaphor for them not accepting him 😞 I actually feel like they were both big factors in him accepting himself and saving Natsuki

Interesting take on calling it 'Land of the Accelerators' since Melayu means to 'speed up' (Melaju). Although I subscribe more to the theory it being Melayor/Melayar (seafaring). Bonus in Tagalog 'Malaya' means free. to be Malay is to sail the sea freely in high speed.
