Simply put, games are just a vehicle for socializing about the newest thing. People treat them like checklists to fulfill so they can be the first ones to talk about it. They don't actually like games. It's an obstacle to them. They just want to get to the finish line faster.

What is going on in gaming nowadays? - People skipping all cutscenes in story games - New FF7 letting you auto-level so you can skip the grind/side content - Enable "no death" modes from settings - Options where the game plays by itself for you - Skip boss options ?????????
