stretch estimation will set up the position of the 1st engine. Small house say a 40x20, 1 story 20’ set back. I only need 80’ of hose. I have a 200’ preconnect, eat most of the excess by pulling past the fire. Not a mess in the yard and leaves room for the truck.

I think that’s a pretty broad statement on estimation. What if it’s only a 15’ setback? Learn the setbacks for each neighborhood. They won’t differ much, most are all built at the same time. To much can be as detrimental to moving forward as not enough. @LtRayMack @Hydrant2Nozzle

In true stand down style, it should be about building collapse, during and post-fire, based on last year's on-duty death data, in my opinion. But, as you pre-plan the building, pre-plan your body as well. Go to the doctor regularly.
Focus for the week in June is on cancer. Which may be the same as the other 51 weeks of the year. fireapparatusmagazine.com/ar…

Some nostalgic throwback to my first love, a simple wireframe Scott 4.5 (actually 2.2 😲) with alligator clips and a AV2000 mask. ❤️❤️❤️ —— Life used to be so simple. And functional. 😘😎

LineBoss Leadership Are you truly open to a critique of your hoseline deployment skills? If it hurts then you need to train more so it turns into pride.

Remember when you force a door the force you apply to the task matters. Hit hard, push fast, pull strongly. Being average isn't good enough!

MLB players still hit off a tee to practice their swing Why do some FF think stretching a line a day is too basic? #backtobasics
