This site has been a pet peeve of mine for years and I'm so glad to see public space protected and a design where we can enjoy the waterfront at all ages.
Wish it had happened sooner since some parts of the building are in rough shape but better late than never

NEW - The Ford government is closing an unspecified number of Service Ontario locations, CityNews has learned. Its part of a pilot project that will see Service Ontario kiosks open inside some Staples Canada stores, though the government wont say if a kiosk will open for every location closure. The government also wouldn't say if this pilot project could lead to further Service Ontario location closures.

Really feeling this today. Assigned a letter to a public official and reflection. For the 15% who actually did it, the results are amazing and so hope inspiring but filing AI breach after breach is just so demoralizing, especially after the last week.
Anyone know what's happening in @cityofhamilton on this front? The Hamilton public health website hasn't been updated to even acknowledge the XBB.1.5 vaccine exists but we must also have access to it if Niagara and Halton do. Or are we still really bad at this after 3 years?
I'm legit confused by the lag here. Earlier in the pandemic HPH was leading it's own strategy and openly challenging the very stupid provincial one for priority populations in #hamont and now ... crickets.

You know what's*actually* confusing for kids, the time and energy we spend teaching them it's important to share and care for others, but then upholding capitalism at every turn. I know because I teach them at 18+ and they can't make sense of it because it doesn't make sense.

As a teacher, the worst thing about chat gpt for me is that it takes away any of the joy I felt when grading. Assignments that used to be so interesting and fun because I learned so much about and from my students through them, are a slog.
It's a worse experience for everyone.
