A single strand of wire was all it took to bring down this adult lion.
Yesterday, our Tsavo Mobile Vet Unit reached the victim of this insidious snare, which had pulled tight around his neck, forming a ligature. After safely darting him, the team carefully removed the wire before cleaning, treating and dressing his wound. Fortunately, his prognosis is good, and we expect him to make a full recovery.
