Was great to be able to welcome families to visit our nursery and P1 spaces this week as part of Enrolment Week. Planning ahead for next year already seems crazy but exciting! Note to self- take more up to date photos #community #play #EarlyYears #environment

Self Care September - Day 5: Forgive yourself when things go wrong. Everyone makes mistakes actionforhappiness.org/self-… #SelfCareSeptember
After a quick trip to the Hungarian consulate with the other half I spent the afternoon in school 🤩 Things are starting to take shape. Transformation and transition are so exciting! Key now is getting the ethos and culture right for our young people #education #school #learning
So we did a thing 🤵🏻♂️🤵🏻♂️ 5th July 2025- The start of our Next Chapter

Today’s job has been sorting part of our transition plans. I finished writing little personalised letters to each of the pupils who weren’t hosted with the rest of us (but 🤫 don’t tell them yet, we hope they enjoy the surprise when it is delivered by the postie!) #CraighallPS
This morning my was spent finalising my branded uniform option for those who would like to purchase it (non-branded option already out there and being encouraged) as well as sorting invoices and going through @CareInspect return. #CraighallPS is coming together!
Quiet presence on here…so little update. I changed job in May, new local authority and tasked with setting up a brand new school opening in August. New team; new colleagues; new policies; new systems. Very exciting but exhausting! Then add to that a wedding…6 days to go! 🤪
Thanks to Gillian @TwinklScotland for my thank you gift! Perfect Friday treat on a sunny day on the way home for the weekend! #teacher #weekend
Definitely worth a share 🤞🏼

Amazing email just in this morning- we have achieved our Gold award from @RSPBScotland. Great work across our school this year working towards this. #OutdoorLearning #BigBirdWatch #WildWednesday

It’s Friday night and I am forcing myself to reflect on the week. Amazing efforts with fund raising for Children in Need today and in the first round of the Kelso schools football league with @LiveBorders. We learn everyday; today I am learning to be more Rita 🤗
Highlight today @YetholmP was having Graeme Wilson (now affectionately nicknamed BatMan by our pupils) to talk to us in assembly about his job as an ecologist and in particular the work he does with bats. It was amazing to hear all about some local species 🦇
Busy week of highlights- Monday staff INSET with focus on GMWP, SBC Way and UNCRC. Tuesday onwards saw @YMIBorders in; a rain inspired dance; the voice of rugby session from @inspireSBC, 2 outdoor learning sessions and auditions for Christmas show… @MorebattleP @YetholmP
Friday was the end of term but still lots of learning! My highlight was seeing the pupil council planning for @BBCCiN and the eco committee working towards their @RSPBScotland award with planning for bat boxes, bird boxes and hedgehog houses! 🦇🐦⬛🦔#ResponsibleCitizens
