I have gotten lots of calls/texts/emails about poor control of annual ryegrass cover crops in the eastern cornbelt this spring. Here is a publication we did a few yrs ago that outlines control measures in burndown situations. @PurdueAg @PurdueExtension

We need to pay close attention and generate awareness about metabolic herbicide resistance in agriculture. If we don’t take action, in my opinion, metabolic herbicide resistance will cause the slow death of chemical weed control (building up slowly over time).

Photos were taken a couple days ago near Memphis. Basis in these areas have dropped significantly over the last wk. Barges are getting getting stuck & some traveling 1-2mph. Everyone north of here must pay attn to this. Basis, fert, diesel, exports all in question w/o rain.

This after 2.5 days folks. No agitation, just sitting. I try to not be bias, but their is a clear difference between MES and elemental sulfur. Think about elemental sulfur being mixed in with DAP 18-46-0. We’re not comparing apples to apples. More still to come. @RVCooperative
