I have nothing but respect Auburn University and will continue to support my teammates this season. My focus is on my health, my family, and on finishing up the academic semester strong, and I’ll be entering the transfer portal at the appropriate time.

Auburn DC DJ Durkin on everything Elijah Melendez does for the defense: "He's been great for us, doing a great job leading the defense. Not only his own production and playing well, but we're counting on him to get the communication out on the field, get guys lined up."

Auburn DC DJ Durkin on Xavier Atkins: "I believe AG handled that earlier. That's an issue coach will handle and we'll handle in-house. Obviously, had conversations with Xavier for sure."

Auburn OC Joel Gordon on Byrum Brown: "He's that guy. He can take a hit and get right back up, and not only take a hit, he can deliver a hit...If that game needed to keep going, he was just going to get better and better and better. He wanted the ball in his hands."
Auburn OC Joel Gordon on Byrum Brown's performance against UGA:
"His confidence was there early. He was able to feed off of his own play. He was able to feed off the run game. He was able to feed off guys making plays in the pass game, and that's contagious."

Auburn OC Joel Gordon on differences in run game: "I think it was a really good plan, number one. We executed at a higher level, that's where you would start."

Auburn OC Joel Gordon: "We've had a hard time getting out of our own way early in games in the last month, and we didn't start that way. We got in our own way enough as it was, which hurt us. But we found a way to be more consistent."
Auburn OC Joel Gordon on running QB Byrum Brown:
"We did some things that we felt like we could take advantage of. We felt like we were going to need to be able to run him a little bit more, and we had a really good blend between the running backs and him."

Auburn OC Joel Gordon on wide receivers: "We're gonna run the football and they're gonna block and be physical. That's part of the expectation here in this program."
