Lamar Jackson has 8 documented injuries since 2021. All 8 of those injuries have occurred behind the line of scrimmage and either in the pocket or while attempting to escape pressure within the pocket. These dang running QBs are just so dang injury prone.
Lamar is arguably the greatest running QB ever and a two-time MVP. He’s also a great example of why teams get nervous about running QBs and injuries. He’s always hurt.

"This scenario would signify a massive sea change in how the NFL packages its games... The NFL could no longer have its cake and eat it too by fixing the price of its out-of-market package to protect its in-market rights holders."

Brendan Haywood says Training camp is way too easy in today’s nba and that is why guys are getting injured early in the season. Teams are doing less practice and barely scrimmage compared to the 2000s training camps which involved intense running, five-on-five and that physically prepared you for the season Now, players are start the season playing 'Formula 1 basketball' by going from 0 to 100 real quick without proper conditioning. It simply doesn't make sense.

marques johnson brought up the wide-spread use of euro and decel steps these days which i thought was interesting "the body can only take so much and the floor doesn't give ... i just think at some point the muscles, tendons, joints throw up the white flag and say enough"

Now that NBA twitter had its annual "we need less hoops" hot takes, out of curiosity has anyone asked why NBA training camp is 3 days, leading to a 2-week preseason where teams play as little as 4 games and the starters barely work? When did we decide training didn't matter?

Put a TV and a fire pit in the driveway and you’re 👌🏽
Just realized the OSU vs. USC game is on when Trick-or-treating is happening (our neighborhood goes very big, and kids from all over the area come) Will definitely lose my mind with a freshman QB making his first start on the road and the doorbell ringing every 45 seconds.

This is such a great way to take advantage of defenses playing off of Ausar 1) Fade Duncan to the spot next to Ausar 2) Immediately run a DHO to force Ausar’s defender to contest Duncan’s shot 3) Hit Ausar on the roll if Duncan doesn’t have an open shot More of this in the offense, please!

It's almost as if people trying to protect their corners are lying to you and have been forever.

What happened that this suit comes up damn near 40 years after she moved in?!?
Stevie Wonder is suing to evict Carmen Efferson, his reported former fiancée, from a Los Angeles home where she has lived rent-free since 1988. The lawsuit alleges that the dispute began after Efferson refused to allow an insurance inspection, while a new report says she was shocked by the legal action and believed Wonder had promised her the house. via People 📷 Getty

It's a week into the season and the NBA is averaging the most possessions per game, shortest average possession length, highest average pickup distance, and most possessions with at least three offensive players crashing in the tracking era. Playing very hard for 82 games!
I am not an injury expert, but I hope the NBA is doing a lot of honest self-assessment with injury experts to determine why this volume of injuries is already occurring.
