Reading today’s Economic Times article about Ola’s AI assistant platform, Krutrim, facing accessibility and adoption challenges got me thinking.
Everyone wants to build AI.
Every boardroom is discussing AI.
Every startup wants an AI story.
Every company wants to say they have an AI platform.
But building a reliable AI product is a very different challenge from launching one.
Technology alone is not enough.
You need:
✅ The right talent
✅ Strong engineering discipline
✅ Scalable infrastructure
✅ Clear use cases
✅ Continuous testing and improvement
✅ Patience
And perhaps most importantly, you need to solve a real problem that users care about.
What we are seeing today is very similar to what happened during earlier technology waves.
Many organizations are rushing to adopt AI because they fear being left behind.
Some will succeed.
Some will discover that AI is not a shortcut to innovation.
It is simply another capability that requires investment, expertise, and execution.
As someone who has spent years leading transformation programs, one lesson has remained constant:
Technology creates possibilities. Execution creates outcomes.
India absolutely has the talent and ambition to build world-class AI products.
The opportunity is enormous.
But long-term success will belong to organizations that focus less on announcements and more on building products that people trust, use, and return to every day.
The AI race has only just begun.
And in this race, sustainable execution will matter more than early headlines.

Animal feeder Payal Chavan's family were assaulted inside their home after years of caring for community dogs. Despite multiple FIRs over the years, the harassment continues, with dogs being chased away, forced into the heat, and denied rest.
An FIR has finally been registered with the help of Animal Welfare Officer Heer Rajput. Now action must follow.

A woman was allegedly assaulted inside her own home.
Why?
Because she fed hungry community dogs.
For years, Payal has quietly cared for a handful of street animals in her locality. She gave them food. She gave them water. She gave them compassion.
Today, she is the one seeking protection.
No matter where anyone stands on the issue of street animals, violence against a woman can NEVER be justified.
No citizen should be assaulted for showing kindness.
No feeder should have to fear for their life for caring for animals.
Mumbai, where are you?
Where are the activists?
Where are the citizens?
Where are the voices that speak up when injustice happens?
Today it is Payal.
Tomorrow it could be any feeder, any rescuer, any compassionate citizen.

However, despite her request to be taken to senior officers, she has been brought back to a local police station where she does not feel safe and where support has been lacking. ANGEL DID NOT DESERVE THIS. 💔
Angel was found with a ruptured eye, in unbearable pain, silently suffering on the streets.
Like so many abandoned animals, she would have simply been ignored… if nobody stepped in.
I rushed her for treatment, scans, medication, and emergency care because no living being deserves to suffer like that.
But rescue is only the beginning.
The reality is this:
Every rescue means medical bills.
Every life saved means food, shelter, medication, treatment, and long-term care.
And I am doing this almost entirely alone.
For more than 35 years, I have rescued, treated, sheltered, and protected animals using my own earnings and my own hands.
Today, I truly need support to continue.
