why are you reposted my complaint about you? I need help not applause..
Replying to @VirginAtlantic
@VirginAtlantic check in for a connecting flight and you issue boarding pass for first flight and tell me second flight isn't checked in. How do I check in for the second flight?! Tell me to book my meal but doesn't work. Click Help on wesbite goes to Page does not exist.

an excert from my chat with @Expedia trying to get them to tell my why @VirginAtlantic haven't issued boarding passes for the whole journey.. "End chat", "Start again", and "Cancel booking" all appeared unprompted by me as if I had written them. Cancel booking? Why??

This Hive is getting worse. @HiveHelper the heating is running even though schedule says it should be off. Resetting schedule, copying from other days, offing then onning none of them resolve it. All I can do is complete turn it off. Advance to next doesn't work either.
Is @HiveHomeUK actually any good?? Was a massive faff to set up, especially adding a hub after the thermostat was already connected to receiver. Then it just decided to disconnect last night and needed factory reset...

Was hoping a wireless system would avoid the pain we have with @UponorUK UFH controls which do a factory reset every time there's a power cut. Why?! But feeling pessimistic now.

Can anyone help me find a slightly obscure reference from Revue de zoologie et de botanique africaines: de Roo-de Ridder, A. & de Roo-de Ridder, F. 1969. The first records of Cinnyris “ogilvie-granti” (Bannerman) from the Congo Republic. Rev. Zool. Bot. Afr. 80: 391–396.

It's seems incredible that the agency overseeing a $2.5bn wildlife tourism industry in Kenya can announce revised park gate fees with 2 days notice and still fail to share the actual new fees.

Evergestis pallidata was new for my fen edge garden last night following on from E. limbata last weekend, and Clavigesta purdeyi just my second. A giant Rosy Minor threw me off for a bit.

Other scarcer moths were Evergestis limbata, Oak Processsionary, Oncocera semirubella, and Orthotelia sparganella. Incredible catch!
Amongst a huge catch of Yponomeuta spp on Friday I also had 7 Ancylosis oblitella (6 shown) which seem rare in VC29, and an Uncinus obductalla (I think), which seems rarer still. Also 2 Gypsy Moths and a Jersey Tiger.

I think this must be Eudemis profundana although not much to go on.

I think this might be Caloptilia cuculipennella which seems scarce in Cambridgeshire. Any thoughts @FlyinginFordham ?

389 of 118 moths in my Cambs garden last night included no less than 4 new macros. Obscure Wainscot, Blackneck, Marbled White Spot, and Shaded Pug. A fifth nfg in the form of Eidophasia messingiella brought the garden list to 601. Amazing.

So saddened by the passing of Prof. Derek Pomeroy. He made immense contributions to biodiversity conservation, including the establishment of MUIENR (Makerere University Institute of Environment and Natural Resources.) He was a long-time mentor of mine since my days as a veterinary student and was very supportive of Conservation Through Public Health and strengthened our partnership with Nature Uganda. He was excited about my book “Walking With Gorillas”, and I mentioned him in the acknowledgements for the significant impact he had on my conservation journey. May his rich legacy, which inspired a generation of birders and conservationists in Uganda and beyond, continue. #WalkingWithGorillas #OneHealth

Palawan, Philippines, really was great birding. 26 of the endemics quite easily found in a few days with the help of the Birdwing hide, and excellent guiding by John Stephen Tuboc (aka Step)...

Back on Luzon, Infanta road was also great, though not so relaxed.

Final stop at La Mesa Ecopark gave us an Ashy Thrush in the middle of the day!
