Regarding affordability concerns, many things are true at once, as always:
1. Prices are indeed too high. Thanks, covid and Joe Biden!
2. The rate of increase in those prices has slowed dramatically since 2023.
3. Prices aren't going back to 2019 levels absent an economic depression.
4. The policies that reduce prices are generally deregulatory in nature, and can help in real ways at the margins, but nobody is talking about those solutions.
5. Instead of talking solutions, most people in politics are busily blackpilling.
6. Blackpilling about how young people in America in 2026 can't afford anything and are destined to live lives of poverty and solitude unless we YELL ABOUT AFFORDABILITY REALLY, REALLY LOUDLY is (a) untrue; (b) pointless, since no solutions are generally provided; (c) counterproductive, since blackpilling is often used to argue for the expansion of government, a la Mamdani (because DO SOMETHING!!!!1!!!); and/or (d) a populist appeal designed to relieve individuals of the responsibility to make good personal decisions by claiming that there's literally nothing they can do to mitigate costs.

The United States of America is built on the primacy of the individual over the collective.
It is a concept that permeates literally ever aspect of our founding documents, and to this day anyone who seeks to politically promote the collective over the individual is acting in a manner contrary to the very reason for our nation's existence.

This is worth repeating:
I never cared that you were gay until you started shoving it down my throat, and I never cared what color you were until you started blaming me for your problems.
I never cared about your political affiliation until you started condemning me for mine.
I really never even cared where you were born until you wanted to erase my history and blame my ancestors for your problems.
I never even cared if your beliefs were different from mine until you said my beliefs were wrong.
But now I care. My patience and tolerance are gone, and I am not alone in feeling like this. There are millions of us who feel like this.

We just went through four years of BS indictment after BS indictment. A number of my friends were indicted on obviously frivilous charges as the MSNBC legal hyenas cheered them on.
Now Comey is indicted on the most straightforward crime imaginable - lying under oath to Congress - and they are calling it the greatest abuse in the history of the Department of Justice. But they are doing so without even analyzing the crime, which has the simplest elements imaginable: did Comey lie under oath about whether or not he leaked sensitive information to the press?
He said he didn't. Kash declassified intelligence that says he very much did. Bingo, bango, boom. Comey will have a chance to contest the classified intelligence - but there is OBVIOUSLY a prima facie case here, and there is nothing novel about the charge except for the fact that the defendant is a former FBI director.
And sure, in the first Trump administration, this charge probably wouldn't have gotten indicted. Trump was being nice in the first term. He had Hillary dead to rights on mishandling classified information, and decided that his DOJ should let it go. But the Biden DOJ, Tish James, Alvin Bragg, Fani Willis and the MSNBC legal harpies threw away prudence, and indicted Trump 4 times in four different jurisdictions in a little over four months, after he was already a declared Presidential candidate.
We aren't idiots. You've discarded prudence. And so now we are going to indict the prosecutable crimes against those who participated in the lawfare against President Trump. And we may not convict them all - juries are juries - but bet that we will convict some.

Now that @elonmusk brought up a new party - here is how we do it. Itâs very hard to stand up a party that would be competitive in presidential elections, and we risk splitting the republican vote and helping democrats win.
What we CAN do however is to run a few strong candidates in handpicked districts during the midterms. If we can take even 10 seats, we will likely deny the majority to either party, and that means we have a veto power over every decision in the congress.
Letâs put a coalition together and get it done! Whoâs on board?

For my British and European friends who are "shocked" and "surprised", here are 10 reasons you didn't see this coming.
Read this short post and then read the replies from our American friends who will confirm what I'm saying.
1. Americans love their country and want it to be the best in the world. America is a nation of people who conquered a continent. They love strength. They love winning. Any leader who appeals to that has an automatic advantage.
2. Unlike Europeans, Americans have not accepted managed decline. They don't have Net Zero here, they believe in producing their own energy and making it as cheap as possible because they know that their prosperity depends on it.
3. Prices for most basic goods in the US have increased rapidly and are sky high. What the official statistics say about inflation and the reality of people's lives are not the same.
4. Unlike you, Americans do not believe in socialism. They believe in meritocracy. They don't care about the super rich being super rich because they know that they live in a country where being super rich is available to anyone with the talent and drive to make it. They don't resent success, they celebrate it.
5. Americans are the most pro-immigration people in the world. Read that again. Seriously, read it again. Americans love an immigrant success story. They want more talented immigrants to come to America. But they refuse to accept people coming illegally. They believe in having a border.
6. Americans are sensitive about racial issues and their country's imperfect history. They believe that those who are disadvantaged by the circumstances of their birth should be given the opportunity to succeed. What they reject, however, is the idea that in order to address the errors of the past new errors must be made. DEI is racist. They know it and they reject it precisely because they are not racist.
7. Americans are the most philosemitic nation on earth. October 7 and the pro-Hamas left's reaction shocked them to their very core because, among other things, they remember what 9/11 was like and they know jihad when they see it.
8. Americans are extremely practical people. They care about what works, not what sounds good. In Europe, we produce great writers and intellectuals. In America they produce (and attract) great engineers, businessmen and investors. Because of this, they care less about Trump's rhetoric than you do and more about his policies than you do.
9. Americans are deeply optimistic people. They hate negativity. The woke view of American history as a series of evils for which they must eternally apologise is utterly abhorrent to them. They believe in moving forward together, not endlessly obsessing about the past.
10. America is a country whose founding story is one of resistance to government overreach. They loathe unnecessary restrictions, regulations and control. They understand that freedom comes with the price of self-reliance and they pay it gladly.

A number of my good friends and family have been surprised about my decision to support @realDonaldTrump for president. They have been surprised because my political giving history has been mostly to Democrats, my voting registration has typically been Democrat (in NY, you must be registered to the party in order to vote in the primary, and usually the Republican candidate has no chance to win), and many of our philanthropic initiatives have supported issues that are consistent with Democratic priorities.
All of the above said, I have always considered myself to be a centrist and/or moderate, and I have voted for the candidate and supported the issues and policies that I believe are in the best interest of the country. Some have accused me of supporting Trump because doing so will somehow benefit me financially. Fortunately, I do not need any financial benefits as I and my family have well more than we need. I have also committed to give away the substantial majority of my resources at or by the time I am no longer, so I don't consider personal financial benefits in the determination of whom I support for office.
Some have suggested that I am supporting Trump because I am seeking a position in his administration. To be clear, I haven't been offered one and I wouldn't take a job in the administration (I love my job and it is the wrong time in my life to work in an administration). I will, however, do everything else I can to help the president succeed in helping our country and its citizens.
All of the above said, I am an investor who manages funds that own some of the best, principally American, businesses in the world. In a better governed and managed America, these business will do better and increase in value faster. One might therefore argue that being 'long' America is somehow a conflict, so I thought to disclose this potential 'conflict' here.
Some of my friends and family who support @KamalaHarris are ok with my supporting Trump, but don't want me to attempt to convince others to support him. Because I strongly believe that a Trump administration will be better for the country and the world than a Harris administration, I think it is important to share my thinking to the extent it helps others come to the right conclusion.
Three months ago, when I endorsed Trump on the day of the first assassination attempt, I promised to share my thinking about why I came to this conclusion in a future more detailed post. I intend to do so in possibly more than one post, with the first, this one, explaining the actions and policies of the Biden/Harris administration and Democratic Party that were the catalysts for my losing total confidence in the administration and the Party.
To be clear, my decision to vote for Trump is not an endorsement of everything he has done or will do because he is an imperfect man. Unlike a marriage or a business partnership where there are effectively unlimited alternatives, in this election, we have only two viable choices. Of the two, I believe that Trump is by far the superior candidate despite his flaws and mistakes he has made in the past.
As always, I welcome your feedback on how I could be wrong and on how the below actions and policies I outline below might actually have been good for America. I have always believed that the best way to get to the truth is to hear the best arguments on all sides of an issue.
While the 33 actions I describe below are those of the Democratic Party and the Biden/Harris administration, they are also the actions and policies that unfortunately our most aggressive adversaries would likely implement if they wanted to destroy America from within, and had the ability to take control of our leadership.
These are the 33:
(1) open the borders to millions of immigrants who were not screened for their risk to the country, dumping them into communities where the new immigrants overwhelm existing communities and the infrastructure to support the new entrants, at the expense of the historic residents,
(2) introduce economic policies and massively increase spending without regard to their impact on inflation and the consequences for low-income Americans and the increase in our deficit and national debt,
(3) withdraw from Afghanistan, abandoning our local partners and the civilians who worked alongside us in an unprepared, overnight withdrawal that led to American casualties and destroyed the lives of Afghani women and girls for generations, against the strong advice of our military leadership, and thereafter not showing appropriate respect for their loss at a memorial ceremony in their honor,
(4) introduce thousands of new and unnecessary regulations in light of the existing regulatory regime that interfere with our businessesâ ability to compete, restraining the development of desperately needed housing, infrastructure, and energy production with the associated inflationary effects,
(5) modify the bail system so that violent criminals are released without bail,
(6) destroy our street retailers and communities and promote lawlessness by making shoplifting (except above large thresholds) no longer a criminal offense,
(7) limit and/or attempt to limit or ban fracking and LNG so that U.S. energy costs increase substantially and the U.S. loses its energy independence,
(8) promote DEI ideologies that award jobs, awards, and university admissions on the basis of race, sexual identity and gender criteria, and teach our students and citizens that the world can only be understood as an unfair battle between oppressors and the oppressed, where the oppressors are only successful due to structural racism or a rigged system and the oppressed are simply victims of an unfair system and world,
(9) educate our elementary children that gender is fluid, something to be chosen by a child, and promote hormone blockers and gender reassignment surgeries to our youth without regard to the longer-term consequences to their mental and physical health, and allow biological boys and men to compete in girls and women's sports, depriving girls and women of scholarships, awards, and other opportunities that they would have rightly earned otherwise,
(10) encourage and celebrate massive protests and riots that lead to the burning and destruction of local retail and business establishments while at the same time requiring schools to be shuttered because of the risk of Covid-19 spreading during large gatherings,
(11) encourage and celebrate anti-American and anti-Israel protests and flag burning on campuses around the country with no consequences for the protesters who violate laws or university codes and policies,
(12) allow antisemitism to explode with no serious efforts from the administration to quell this hatred,
(13) mandate vaccines that have not been adequately tested nor have their risks been properly considered compared with the potential benefits adjusted for the age and health of the individual, censoring the contrary advice of top scientists around the world,
(14) shut down free speech in media and on social media platforms that is inconsistent with government policies and objectives,
(15) use the U.S., state, and local legal systems to attack and attempt to jail, take off the campaign trail, and/or massively fine candidates for the presidency without regard to the merits or precedential issues of the case,
(16) seek to defund the police and promote anti-police rhetoric causing a loss of confidence in those who are charged with protecting us,
(17) use government funds to subsidize auto companies and internet providers with vastly more expensive, dated and/or lower-quality technology when greatly superior and cheaper alternatives are available from companies that are owned and/or managed by individuals not favored by the current administration,
(18) mandate in legislation and otherwise government solutions to problems when the private sector can do a vastly better, faster, and cheaper job,
(19) seek to ban gas-powered cars and stoves without regard to the economic and practical consequences of doing so,
(20) take no serious actions when 45 American citizens are killed by terrorists and 12 are taken hostage,
(21) hold back armaments and weaponry from our most important ally in the Middle East in the midst of their hostage negotiations, hostages who include American citizens who have now been held for more than one year,
(22) eliminate sanctions on one of our most dangerous enemies enabling them to generate $150 billion+ of cash reserves from oil sales, which they can then use to fund terrorist proxy organizations who attack us and our allies. Exchange five American hostages held by Iran for five Iranians plus $6 billion of cash in the worst hostage negotiation in history setting a disastrous and dangerous precedent,
(23) remove known terrorist organizations from the terrorist list so we can provide aid to their people, and allow them to shoot rockets at U.S. assets and military bases with little if any military response from us,
(24) lie to the American people about the cognitive health of the president and accuse those who provide video evidence of his decline of sharing doctored videos and being right wing conspirators,
(25) do nothing about the deteriorating health of our citizens driven by the food industrial complex, the fraudulent USDA food pyramid, and the inclusion of ingredients in our food that are banned by other countries around the world which are more protective of their citizens,
(26) do nothing about the proliferation of new vaccines that are not properly analyzed for their risk versus the potential benefit for healthy children who are mandated to receive them,
(27) do nothing about the continued exemption from liability for the pharma industry that has led to a proliferation of mandatory vaccines for children without considering the potential cumulative effects of the now mandated 72-shot regime,
(28) convince our minority youth that they are victims of a rigged system and that the American dream is not available to them,
(29) fail to provide adequate Secret Service protection for alternative presidential candidates,
(30) litigate to prevent alternative candidates from getting on the ballot, and take other anti-competitive steps including threatening political consultants who wish to work for alternative candidates for the presidency, and limit the potential media access for other candidates by threatening the networks' future access to the administration and access to 'scoops' if they platform an alternative candidate,
(31) select the Democratic nominee for president in a backroom process by undisclosed party leaders without allowing Americans to choose between candidates in an open primary,
(32) choose an inferior candidate for the presidency when other much more qualified candidates are available and interested to serve,
(33) litigate to make it illegal for states to require proof of citizenship, voter ID, and/or residence in order to vote at a time when many Americans have lost confidence in the accuracy and trustworthiness of our voting system.
I welcome your thoughts.

Very few Americans realize that, if Trump is NOT elected, this will be the last election. Far from being a threat to democracy, he is the only way to save it!
Let me explain: if even 1 in 20 illegals become citizens per year, something that the Democrats are expediting as fast as humanly possible, that would be about 2 million new legal voters in 4 years.
The voting margin in the swing states is often less than 20 thousand votes. That means if the âDemocraticâ Party succeeds, there will be no more swing states!!
Moreover, the Biden/Harris administration has been flying âasylum seekersâ, who are fast-tracked to citizenship, directly into swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin and Arizona. It is a surefire way to win every election.
America then becomes a one-party state and Democracy is over. The only âelectionsâ will be the Democratic Party primaries. This already happened in California many years ago, following the 1986 amnesty.
The only thing holding California back from extreme socialism and suffocating government policies is that people can leave California and still remain in America. Once the whole country is controlled by one party, there will be no escape.
Everywhere in America will be like the nightmare that is downtown San Francisco.

September 27th is the most important day in the Middle East since the Abraham Accords breakthrough.
I have spent countless hours studying Hezbollah and there is not an expert on earth who thought that what Israel has done to decapitate and degrade them was possible.
This is significant because Iran is now fully exposed. The reason why their nuclear facilities have not been destroyed, despite weak air defense systems, is because Hezbollah has been a loaded gun pointed at Israel. Iran spent the last forty years building this capability as its deterrent.
President Trump would often say, âIran has never won a war but never lost a negotiation.â The Islamic Republicâs regime is much tougher when risking Hamas, Hezbollah, Syrian and Houthi lives than when risking their own. Their foolish efforts to assassinate President Trump and hack his campaign reek of desperation and are hardening a large coalition against them.
Iranian leadership is stuck in the old Middle East, while their neighbors in the GCC are sprinting toward the future by investing in their populations and infrastructure. They are becoming dynamic magnets for talent and investment while Iran falls further behind. As the Iranian proxies and threats dissipate, regional security and prosperity will rise for Christians, Muslims and Jews alike.
Israel now finds itself with the threat from Gaza mostly neutralized and the opportunity to neutralize Hezbollah in the north. Itâs unfortunate how we got here but maybe there can be a silver lining in the end.
Anyone who has been calling for a ceasefire in the North is wrong. There is no going back for Israel. They cannot afford now to not finish the job and completely dismantle the arsenal that has been aimed at them. They will never get another chance.
After the brilliant, rapid-fire tactical successes of the pagers, radios, and targeting of leadership, Hezbollahâs massive weapon cache is unguarded and unmanned. Most of Hezbollah fighters are hiding in their tunnels. Anyone still around was not important enough to carry a pager or be invited to a leadership meeting. Iran is reeling, as well, insecure and unsure how deeply its own intelligence has been penetrated. Failing to take full advantage of this opportunity to neutralize the threat is irresponsible.
I have been hearing some amazing stories about how Israel has been collecting intelligence over the past 10 months with some brilliant technology and crowdsourcing initiatives.
But today, with the confirmed killing of Nasrallah and at least 16 top commanders eliminated in just nine days, was the first day I started thinking about a Middle East without Iranâs fully loaded arsenal aimed at Israel. So many more positive outcomes are possible.
This is a moment to stand behind the peace-seeking nation of Israel and the large portion of the Lebanese who have been plagued by Hezbollah and who want to return to the times when their country was thriving, and Beirut a cosmopolitan city. The main issue between Lebanon and Israel is Iran; otherwise there is a lot of benefit for the people of both countries from working together.
The right move now for America would be to tell Israel to finish the job. Itâs long overdue. And itâs not only Israelâs fight.
More than 40 years ago, Hezbollah killed 241 US military personnel, including 220 Marines. That remains the single deadliest day for the U.S. Marine Corps since the Battle of Iwo Jima. Later that same day, Hezbollah killed 58 French paratroopers.
And now, over the past six weeks or so, Israel has eliminated as many terrorists on the US list of wanted terrorists as the US has done in the last 20 years. Including Ibrahim Aqil, the leader of Hezbollahâs Islamic Jihad Organization who masterminded the 1983 killing of those Marines.

Congressional Democrats insist that the SAVE Actâwhich requires proof of citizenship to establish eligibility to vote in federal electionsâis unnecessary because federal law (18 USC § 611) already prohibits non-citizens from voting in federal elections.
Those making this argument ignore a glaring problem: the government officials who register voters and conduct federal elections arenât allowed to require proof of citizenship.
Itâs therefore shockingly easy for non-citizens to vote in federal elections, leaving our elections dangerously vulnerable to foreign interference.
Anyoneâeven an illegal alien or other non-citizenâcan register to vote in federal elections, just by checking a box and signing a form.
This is all on the honor system. No proof of citizenship is required.
Itâs not just that state officialsâwho are responsible for federal voter registration and elections in our countryâ*donât* verify citizenship in this context; itâs that the Supreme Court has told them that theyâre not allowed to do so.
In Arizona v. Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, 570 U.S. 1 (2013), the Court held that the National Voter Registration Act (âNVRA,â known as the âMotor Voterâ law) prohibits states from requiring proof of citizenship when processing federal voter-registration forms.
The SAVE Act would fix this gaping loophole by requiring anyone registering to vote in federal elections to provide proof of citizenship.
It would also require states to review existing federal voter-registration files and remove all non-citizens.
Remember: every state except South Carolina issues driverâs licenses to non-citizens, and 19 states issue them to illegal aliens.
This, coupled with the Motor Voter law and the Supreme Courtâs ruling, makes it shockingly easy for aliensâlegal and illegalâto vote in federal elections, even though theyâre prohibited from doing so.
Considering that there are now nearly 30 million non-citizens in the U.S., including about 12 million who have entered illegally since the last presidential election, we desperately need the SAVE Act.
While Democrats are already mocking the SAVE Act, they donât dispute that non-citizens shouldnât vote in federal elections.
Rather, they insist that thereâs no need for the bill because non-citizensâbeing prohibited by law from voting in federal electionsâcategorically *do not* vote in such elections.
That argument fails for one simple reason: it implausibly assumes universal compliance with a law that has become breathtakingly easy (and correspondingly tempting) to violate.
Some say that non-citizens wouldnât dare register to vote in federal elections, as doing so is illegal and could adversely affect their present or future immigration status.
Even if this assumption were correct with regard to many (or even most) non-citizens in the U.S., that still wouldnât disprove the need for the SAVE Act.
If even a tiny percentage of Americaâs 30 million non-citizens were to vote, they could change the outcome of a close federal election.
And, as noted by the @iaproject, itâs odd for the left to insist so vehemently that illegal aliens donât vote, given that congressional Democrats have inserted language âto waive inadmissibility for illegal voting in all [their] amnesty bills.â
Democrats canât have it both ways; they canât (1) credibly say that illegal aliens donât vote in federal elections, and then (2) expect us to forget their own proposals, which assume the opposite is true.
In any event, and regardless of how many (or few) non-citizens may have voted in the past, why not take steps to prevent it from happening in the future?
The sanctity of your vote is at stake.
Now more than ever, we need to make sure that our elections are fair, lawfully conducted, and free of foreign influence.
To do that, itâs imperative that Congress pass the SAVE Act.
If you agree, please like and share this postâand ask your members of Congress to cosponsor the SAVE Act today!
