Data centre backlash? There’s a big problem for conservative politicians currently. They can either drift along with anti data centre sentiment (and get hammered Texas style since leftist anti data sentiment will always appear more credible). Or they can be pro data centre without being able to point to specific benefits that the new development will bring. The solution? State-based legislation that would guarantee to channel the vast amount of tax revenue from the data centres into reducing property taxes. Only that sort of policy approach will get conservatives on the front foot - and ensure America continues to lead this tech revolution …. Thinking caps on, chaps!
