I want a Starlink Mobile phone NOW. T-Mobile isn't terrible, but it's the best of a bad lot. And give me international roaming for free, because Starlink is worldwide.

Pretty good nostalgia project with flipover books like the Ace Doubles. Easy in options or get everything in one go. Obligatory Kickstarter text below.

Meet Bollstadt: the youngest Dog, mission geologist, brilliant and obsessed. He is trichromat—able to see the color red—and Io has truths buried under its lava. Aristillus: Escape from Io is live. kickstarter.com/projects/tji…
Some random questions for @MorlockP - and of course it's part of the "spread the word" effort:
* Is the "build a smaller ship out of the crashed one" plot point inspired by "Flight of the Phoenix"? (Release 1965, remake 2004.)
* Is Eli's decision to favor the work over survival a riff on Archimedes? Who famously told Roman invaders that he was busy and was killed for being unwilling to stop working on a theory.

Is this thing on? Tried to support @MorlockP's latest project with a Brady Bunch filk a few days ago. It was on an old post. Got a whopping *squints* 10 views. Trying again on a newer post. Buy this book! And hum "The Io Bunch" as you do it.
THE IO BUNCH!
Here's the story, of a dog named Eli
He's a pilot and a builder and a dad
He went on a ship, to a moon called Io
The mission made him glad
It's the story, of two other canines
First there's Bollstadt who loved nothing more than rock There was also Roch, Mission Commander
No thumbs but they could talk
Then they had some, equipment failure
And they had to build a new ship from the old
They fought a lot at first, then worked together
And that's how they became the Io Bunch
The Io Bunch (they don't have thumbs)
The Io Bunch (DO they have thumbs?)
That's how they became the Io Bunch! (arf arf arf)

Can we get this over $20K? I want interior illustrations! Just look at that edge printing, MOAR!

Mr. "Restricts Replies" here seems not to know that CS Lewis straight out said Aslan was Jesus. Or he knows and doesn't want to deal with the blowback of his ridiculous statement.
Financially illiterate entertainment industry reports drive me batty. No, Practical Magic 2 did not "recoup" $46 million. That's the box office. The studio will get about half of that. @ew why publish something so wrong?

The even better news is that Coyote Vs. Acme did $12M this weekend for a modest dropoff of 25% taking it to $34M. A long tail (heh) means the movie will easily hit $50M domestic, with a chance at $70M. And half that much again Intl. $100M Box Office will give ~50M film rental, putting it within striking distance of profitability from the $60M investment before Streaming/Video even starts.
Good job, Ketchup Entertainment!

Dear @FoxNews: Surely there is more going on in the world today than coverage of a potential mistrial. Lindsay Clancy is never going free regardless of how this trial turns out. Show something else.
I choose #GothIHop
And I would also choose Goth Outback, Goth Hooters, Goth...well, you get the idea.
Never thought that Escape from New York would become a documentary, but Mamdani may get us there.

Looks like DiJonai Carrington wants us to check our white privilege today. You know, I just checked and "getting clocked while shooting a basket" doesn't seem privileged at all.
Not far off Niven's "World Out of Time" where they used ramjets to push Uranus out of orbit to pull Earth to Jupiter as the Sun got warmer from a bomb used in an interplanetary war.
