Trump had no legal authority to seize control of California’s National Guard and deploy troops into Los Angeles.
A federal appeals court has now affirmed the obvious: there are limits to presidential power regardless of whether Trump likes them or not.
And with an election just around the corner, this ruling makes it harder for Trump to misuse and deploy the National Guard to interfere with our elections and your right to vote.

Under Alaska Statutes § 15.15.450 the State Director of Elections certifies elections in Alaska.
Governor Dunleavy transmits a secondary certificate to the Senate.
If he fails to do so, the Senate clerk may directly get the certification from the Director of Elections.
He has no authority to block or prevent certification.

I'm fascinated by a weird ad for Muse @milkkarten spotted on Instgram, claiming it could help you see who unfollowed you. Which, it can, but that's a feature Instagram has repeatedly said it doesn't want users to have. (Meta has taken down the ad).
A curious tension here: AI agents and social media aren't necessarily playing nice. There's things Muse can do for users that is at the detriment to the health of the social platforms. So what balance does Meta strike to make sure the new shiny thing isn't cannibalizing the old profitable thing?
